Would you leave a comfortable situation to conquer a new challenge, if it sealed you as the GREATEST OF ALL TIME?
The undisputed Greatest of all time??!!??
That is the situation Nick Saban is facing now.
What will he do?
What would you do?

Ummm, no it's not, since saban isn't the undisputed greatest coach of all time.

He will when he beats Oregon 41-0 in the championship game.

He's really not that far behind the Bear, considering that 2 of his titles were "won" despite losing their bowl.

He will be if he wins at Texas.......damn, the rant is dumb.

He's not even the greatest BCS-era football coach from the SEC. That's Phil Fulmer. Anybody can win a national title with talent, dedication, and methodical planning. It takes something special to win one while not giving a frick.

One could argue that had the bowls counted toward the season in 1964, Alabama would have played Texas much better. Many of the players from that team admit to this day that they didn't take the game as seriously after they were named national champions in both major wire service polls.

Saban is the most talented NCAA coach in history hands down. Best? Don't know yet, because best includes intangibles......
The Bear established the Bama brand, Saban resurrected and sustained it. I'm not ready to say he is "better" than coach Bryant. The Bear has reached god status and I fully understand why.
Hate it all you want and I adore LSU, but don't bullshite yourselves.....

I would like to agree, but it's hard to compare college and nfl coaches to European soccer coaches because its always a four horse race between the top four teams in there respective leagues sometimes two horses (La Liga, Bundesliga). If Saban retires at Alabama say at 68. That would still give him seven years. There is no telling what he could do in seven years. But in terms of soccer, I'd have to agree with you, which is very hard being an Arsenal fan.

Man you LSU folks wishing Saban would leave because it's the only way you can win are so pathetic.

I'm sure Saban is slamming the F5 button on his laptop on tRant even as we speak, hoping to get ideas on what he should do with his future.

Maybe not personally, but he certainly must have someone on the payroll scanning tRant for ideas.

Not true. He could die or commit a felony or something.
