Per his twitter.

Probably for the best, better to get the medical redshirt than have him playing at 50% all year.

FWIW, I'm pretty sure this isn't the same knee in which his dislocated the knee cap in HS.

That is worth something. That was my initial question, if it was in fact the same knee.

Hate to see that, but WR is the least of our troubles at this point. I'd rather have him healthy for next year.

ChinPubes keeps saying it is the same knee which pretty much guarantees its not.

My buddy says the recovery time from a small PCL tear isn't that long so he could possibly come back this year but I dont see why we would risk a re-injury with all of the weapons we have at WR.

We are gonna need him next year if Mike leaves for the draft.

He's very raw so I hope we can maybe keep him around for his RS junior year.

Is this just from him playing QB in high school instead of WR?

He just relies on his athleticism and has been a receiver all of about six weeks. It doesn't sound like he runs great routes yet.

Test

ETA: holy shite it worked.

At the OP, that's terrible news, hope he comes back better than ever.
