More money? Yes. More prestige? Maybe in the eyes of Texas and you, but not the rest of college football.

Sentence structure, motherfricker. Practice it.

I bet they would go after miles at least a little. Laugh all you want, but m not joking and bama fans know I'm right.

Maybe, but they are definitely NOT as committed as Bama is to SPENDING money on the right coach. Nobody is.

Upvoted, because, why not? You actually took the time to think that up and post it here.

I think we try to feel out David Shaw and Charlie Strong.

I'm thinking Charlie Strong. They have very likely losses still to OU, OSU, TT and Baylor. I don't see how he keeps his job. Firing everyone except him has already been tried.

Here's my take on Sabah going to Bama:
1. He wouldn't leave for money, because Bama would match whatever Texas came up with
2. I honestly believe Saban enjoys his status of godlike
3. When it comes to passion about their football team, if Texas is a 3, Alabama is a 105
4. A younger Saban may have taken the position over the challenge factor. The last time he took a job for the challenge factor, he got his low the ground arse handed to him
At his age, Bama will be his last job.

Isn't leaving Stanford - where his father was a coach and where he grew up - unless it is for the NFL.
Texas would make a move for Saban, muschamp, possibly Patterson & Peterson, or an NFL guy. They may end up with Applewhite.
Saban doesn't want it. If he did, he cld have had it after 2011 season when they put out feelers to him.
