The only place Shaw leaves Stanford for is the NFL. He has pretty much said as much.

Texas goes after Peterson, and if he doesn't leave Boise St for Texas, he has no desire for anything other than job security.

Jesus. We're going to hire Jesus. He'll work for free which is nice, plus no other coach will want to beat any of his teams for fear of going to hell.

Uh, no.

I like Miles' whole persona and all at LSU, but he's not the type of coach that Alabama would pursue in the highly unlikely event that Saban left.

I think with Saban, Alabama has found the type of coach that suits their program best. A disciplinarian, a details guy, and a relentless recruiter. Miles is a great recruiter, but he's a little bit more of a free spirit when it comes to the other two. He's a great foil for Saban, and I've really enjoyed the past few years of these two personalities facing off every November, but I could never see him coaching Bama.

IMO Kirby Smart, David Shaw, Jimbo Fisher, or maybe even a guy like Jim Mora.

I don't think Texas would hire a Scientologist but then again they are down so mu h now they might.

If Saban goes to Texa$
Here's my take on Sabah going to Bama:

1. He wouldn't leave for money, because Bama would match whatever Texas came up with

2. I honestly believe Saban enjoys his status of godlike

3. When it comes to passion about their football team, if Texas is a 3, Alabama is a 105

4. A younger Saban may have taken the position over the challenge factor. The last time he took a job for the challenge factor, he got his low the ground arse handed to him

At his age, Bama will be his last job.

5. Even if the Texas program gets turned around, the Big 12 is hot garbage. It's beneath Saban.

6. Lake Burton is only 5 hours from Tuscaloosa.

7. Saban will be the next AD at Alabama. Bill Battle is just keeping the seat warm.
