I hope he continues to improve. Thanks for the update.

I guess we should wait until official news that confirms his status. My point still stands and this thread should never be the place for an indictment on UT's fans. Non football fans could easily make the same statements about all football fans. Thoughts and prayers for this man and his family.

7th & Trinity - that's pretty much dirty 6th
not surprising that something happened, it's a slew of college bars, fights happen every night, regardless if there's a game or not
that being said, for someone to jump out of a car, that really doesnt seem like a normal behavior, even from a drunk fan

I would keep a low profile on the road, especially in non-SEC venues. Winning this much creates a lot of resentment.

Never judge an entire fanbase on actions of a few. Ridiculous generalizations on here.
My car was trashed in Lubbock once but most tech fans I know are great and have been on my two trips there.
Tech.
Texas Tech.

ETA- when I was a kid, my cousin was a Texas frat boy, and at family vacations in Destin, he always had his frat boy friends with him, literally all they did was walk around looking for fights with people, got in fights every night.
Lots of tu people aren't that bad... their frat stars are some of the absolute worst. I know some, and I am good friends with people that were heavily involved with Greek life in Austin. The strolling around looking for fights attitude exists in a LOT of frats, even ones at Texas A&M... the ones in Austin though are a little worse. Given the city in, they really try to play up the conservative stereotype and shite. Just a general attitude of superiority.

If you are looking for a fight, or much less willing to confront people that are obviously looking for a fight, dirty sixth is as good of a place as any.

Does anyone know if he's in a hospital in Austin? Sorry if it was already posted.

How is this not getting any media attention?

I'm actually willing to go out on a limb and say that this group would comprise the entire pool of suspects.
I could be wrong, but I doubt it.

For instance... David Robinson's kid wasn't going to get a bid from a frat(this was two or three years ago), I was told from someone inside one specifically that the conversation was more or less;
"We might not all be racist, but we know some of us are, and when we are fricked up we might say something or offend him, and then we could get suspended."
This was from my friend that partook in the actual final decision. He said him and some California kids were pissed, and outvoted. He also told me a few other frats had more or less the same decision. Moral of the story... racist fricks.

Prayers for this young man. We don't have the concrete details but it's things like this that make me nervous about going to football games. I mean, really, under what circumstances do you fight? If someone yells 'Eff [your team]! If someone insults your girlfriend? If someone randomly shoves you? There does come a time to defend yourself and/or your family but I guess the best thing to do is to try and foresee potentially troublesome situations and navigate around them.

This is where the SEC comes together. I dont care who you are and what school you are from, you don't frick anyone like that especially to our conference . I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy, on my least favorite team. Who's with me?!

This is why I don’t take many road trips anymore. My car was trashed in Columbia last season, this after SCAR murdered UGA. Can you imagine if UGA had won? Holy shite. Three years ago, three Auburn fans thought it was a good idea to start shite with my group (10+ people) in a parking lot. It didn’t end well, and two of my friends got arrested. It’s pathetic when this shite happens. UGA fans aren’t exempt, because I’ve seen my fan base act a fool.
Sorry that you had that happen while visiting Columbia. It does happen everywhere, though, and you are correct that y'all aren't exempt. My sister in law not only had piss poured on her after y'all won last week, while she was trying to clean up from that, somebody slung a bottle at her and it hit her in the head. She had staples in her scalp and spent the night in the hospital with a concussion. Imagine if we'd won that game. It seriously does go both ways. I hate that aspect of football. It is just a game in the end.
