I think it was something from Friday night. My girlfriend told me about it before the game. He was probably out drunk and talking shite. Sucks. I think he had been left for dead out in some alley, they might not have a clue who even did it.

Nothing out there yet. I'd wait and see if it's legit...I find it odd that no news source has bothered reporting on "College football fan beaten to death by opposing fan after his team wins." That's exactly the kind of story the media absolutely loves to swarm around.

If you know anything about that program or its fans, this shouldn't shock you.

You don't know Texas fans very well.
It doesn't surprise me in the slightest.
ETA- when I was a kid, my cousin was a Texas frat boy, and at family vacations in Destin, he always had his frat boy friends with him, literally all they did was walk around looking for fights with people, got in fights every night.
One of my friends, only 14 years old at the time, almost got his arse kicked by one of them, 22 or 23 years old, on the beach in front of Jetty East, drunk, about to literally murder a 14 year old boy over nothing.
Texas students and fans are the worst in the country, worse than Florida.

If true Obama needs to call for a military strike against Austin.

That is so messed up on so many levels. shite talking doesn't deserve a severe beating.

It's also the kind of story you don't want to wrongly report. If this is true, holy shite it's terrible.

that is awful. Prayers for the kid.

The city of Austin will be under Marshall Law if they don't win another game for the rest of the season.

Go read their message boards. Nothing but racism, bonfire jokes, and venom spewed at everyone in the SEC. Austin the city fosters a disconnect from reality, and that can often manifest in disgusting acts like this.

True, but when has that ever stopped the media?

Shouldn't everyone wait for some facts to emerge?
Just seems like coming unglued over a couple of tweets is a little premature.
But I sure am hoping for the best.
After some of the things I've read on message boards recently, its unsettling to see how warped people's perspectives have become.
It's. A. Game.

I'm from Houston and know tons of Texas fans and none of them would nearly beat a kid to death just because of a lose. OBReb6 said he heard it happened Friday. Guess we'll find out soon enough.
