We had over 100 yards in penalties yesterday?

Eesh. Very uncharacteristic of a Saban-coached Alabama team. I wonder what the issue was.

A couple of them were procedural but there were multiple PIs and personals that were total bullshite.

This.
I think the environment had a bit of an effect on out young O-lineman at the start of the game

about 20-25 were false starts I believe
15 for Yeldon's celebration
15 for Williams horse collar tackle
15 for HaHa's phantom targeting call

45 yards of total bullshite penalty? How the frick can JFF do what Yeldon did and not get called but TJ did?????

20 yards were BS. The second FS and the targeting call.

My guess is that they didn't like the "near" throat slash motion. But who knows.

Havent seen JFF do the double throat slash, but if you have a gif of it you should send it to the NCAA refs so they can look out for it in the future. The only other thing I can think of is perhaps you didn't know that the throat slash motion was an automatic flag if seen??? No worries, and welcome to your first college football game stick around its a fun sport to watch. There are some nuisances in the rules but you will pick them up fast no worries.

Yep the 2nd false start no one moved.
Also you couldn't hear it but a few times on the tv, but very plainly while on radio. When AJ was going through his cadence (his voice is fairly distinctive), there was someone not Ryan Kelly for sure (was an african american voice) that kept saying go go go go go go over and over while AJ was doing his cadence. Isn't mimicking an opponent's snap count illegal in NCAA? It is in Alabama high school ball.

I still think that the 15 for Williams horse collar tackle should have been offsetting because of the face mask by JFF. It seems that the rules let the quarterback get away with murder.

@chattabama Thank God someone else noticed that!

Sooooooooooo much bullshite.
Vern and Gary just would not admit it, so it seemed like we were frickin up.
We beat a&m and the refs.

That might've been the worst officiated game I've seen Alabama play in. It was just one call...it was several. The refs bailed A&M out several times. How they reviewed the force out catch when it was clear that the receiver was OUT OF BOUNDS when he caught it is beyond me. We also deserved a few makeup calls for that HaHa bullshite. You also can't tell me that with all of the dancing that Manziel does in the backfield, that there weren't multiple bigtime holds.
Complete screw-job.

I didn't listen on the radio, but I noticed on two of the false start calls that both McCarron and Arie were complaining to the refs and pointing at the defense so I figured this was happening.

One of the drives A&M had late, I saw a hold, not called, followed up by a massive block in the back. Both right in front of the ref.
We beat the best offense in the nation, and the refs. In 100 degree weather in Texas, it does not get much tougher then that.

The horse collar call is BS on to fronts.
If JFF isn't allowed to face mask our guy just shoves him out of bounds or falls on him.
Also it was my understanding that the horse collar was to protect a man in motion ( in full run motion ) from getting knee injuries because in motion feet can cause knee injuries , weren't both players standing still ?

Fulton did not have a good game by any means (just rewatched it last night and it wasn't as bad as it first seemed, though) but that one PI deep in our territory I t.hougt was mutual contact at best and probably an offensive push off by the aTm WR.
