Rough Stretch ahead for Tennessee

These are Tennessee's games through October:
at Oregon
at Florida
South Alabama
Georgia
South Carolina
at Alabama
I see almost no way Tennessee doesn't go 1-5 over this stretch. There's a very good chance it will be 5 blowout losses, too.
How does Tennessee respond? That will be the big question for Butch Jones. Over the last two seasons, when facing similar adversity, the team simply surrendered and everything fell apart. Obviously Dooley being gone is a huge plus, but can we expect much better this year?
The schedule after that stretch is:
at Missouri
Auburn
Vanderbilt
at Kentucky
Can Tennessee win 3 of 4 to make a bowl game?

at Florida
South Alabama
Georgia
South Carolina

Didn't you say in the other thread Worley is worse than Driskel?
If so, no way Tennessee makes a bowl game with that schedule.

They can easily win 4/4 at the end, though I'd probably give the edge to Missouri on paper right now.
They should be 6-6, which might be enough to bowl

Unless there are serious improvements in QB accuracy and defense we won't win any of the tough games.

I don't see it. Worley is a very inaccurate passer. We should be running the ball a lot better than what we are with who we've played.
The defense is below average, the 6 turnovers from yesterday make them look a lot better than what they really are.
I hope they win all of them, but it won't happen.

Did you drink Slives last bit of Blantons without replacing?
That is brutal.

I see 3 definite losses, 1 definite win, and 2 maybes.
Butch Jones is doing a great job so far, and giving Oregon a good game could be enough to ride the momentum into winning a couple of those games.

I see no chance of scoring enough to beat South Carolina and Georgia.
Florida is the best chance of an upset, but on the other hand, it's probably the best chance of being shut out. Unless the offense shoots themselves in the foot repeatedly once again, I don't see that game being close, either.

We won't beat UF.
They have the week off to fix some issues.
We play Oregon.
USC always plays poorly against us. We're in the worst decade of our programs history, they're in the best of their programs and they still are close games.
I'd say that's our best shot.

I didn't watch the Florida game yesterday since Tennessee was playing at the same time. Unless Driskel was way worse than the stats indicated, I can't see him being worse than Worley.

No way. I'm not saying we have a good shot in any way in Gainesville, but our only chance at an upset is going to be if one of the other teams just self destructs on offense. Maybe Florida can beat South Carolina, but South Carolina is going to score plenty on us.

I've been watching UT vs UF for 20 years and they never give us freebies like they do to other teams. We're cursed against UF and we never get a break when we play them.
They'll probably have 0 turnover, play their A-game and beat UT.

Agree, but they can play a C- game and still beat us.

Whatever. SCAR and Florida seem no better than Tennessee at the very least there.
