This. A white helmet, when nothing else is white, looks terrible imo.
See the Halloween costumes.

I don't care what you wear. Just beat auburn's arse.

If keeping the White Helmets, improvement would be: Grey Shirts and white Pants

Kept the orange to a minimum, I approve.

The less cat puke orange the better.
UToof = Hillbilly Oregon - minus the offense

Y'all need a better S&C program. 56 has a bit of a gut on him.

Like it, imo. Meshes better with the orange.

He has been rehabbing a torn acl. Thats why the team voted for him to unveil them. Dooley knew the kids knee was trashed and played hom till the acl completely popped. Any other coach would have sat him early in season get his surgery out of the way. Now Maggitt had to miss week 1 and will be limited at best week 2. So yeah give him about a month to run those 50 110s the rest of the team has been running.

You have Tommy Thigpen and Willie Martinez coaching your defense, no way you win a SEC game.

meh. They dont do anything for me. UGA's black unis were the most badass in SEC history

See the Halloween costumes.
The Halloween costume was just that a Halloween costume. It was done at the last moment when it was realized we were playing on Halloween. It was one of the few good decisions Kiffin made because it was reminiscent of the Halloween Jack'O'Lanterns and served as a treat for the kids. However it was such a last minute decision we actually had to scramble to have the Jersey produced locally.
As for Smokey Grey, I don't think it looks bad at all with the white. It was a promise CBJ made to the players and kept -- the player's coaches (elected by teammates) also got to decide a lot of things about it. So it's really something that was by them and for them.
It's also a 1 game thing and not worth the trouble of producing a helmet for. Finally, when the additional white accents are added as per the more complete uni it looks better:
Also, when the uni was officially unveiled the shoes ended up being gray with orange and white flashes. The helmet doesn't look so out of place with the white elements are added.
One other thing, if we choose to go with the white sleeves showing orange checkboards or even more white bands it likely help the overall look.

so.. Instead of a "black out" this will be the "smoke out"? Y'all gonna hand out dime bags to everyone in attendance? Gone be some high motherfrickers watching that game!
...on a side note, I think they look good to be honest.

Well Tennessee is the 2nd largest mary-ja-wanna producer in the US. And dear old Rocky Top (E.TN) is the area most known for producing it so maybe we're just being honest now that several states have decriminalized the eebil weed.
