Board Access

thats basically what i said in the other thread. that we shouldnt just hand out access to other people when they will add absolutely zero to our board especially when there is such a large anti aggie sentiment on every single other board

I feel like my posting might have a lot to do with this. I apologize if that's the case.

I'd ask for access to other teams boards, if I really cared enough to talk just about their team.

I think we should be a little more "selective" with our boards. If you notice most of the other schools have some anti-Aggie mentality unless your name is TBird (not hating, pure jealousy) The fact that we are instantly turned away no matter what our intentions are just because of our team logo is noticable.

First off, thanks for your input

The only other board I ever post on is Mizzou (and even then only rarely). Never tried to be the "most liked" poster or anything--I post the same way here that I do on TexAgs, TideFans, etc. Just consistent with my style, I suppose, but I'm really not interested in currying favor with other fanbases or posting on their boards, tbh.

Regarding adding posters:

I'll try to make it clearer in the voting threads, but I have ZERO problem with "nay" votes in those threads. I don't care your reasoning or justification for it (honestly, I'd rather those threads not turn into debate threads). If the majority of Aggie posters aren't comfortable with allowing a visiting poster access, then they don't get access, no ifs, ands, or buts. Additionally, if anyone feels that a visiting poster has overstepped their bounds on this board, myself and WCA have no problem yanking their access--permanently.

We have a great board and great posters, but that doesn't mean we're obligated to play nice. I try to evaluate each poster requesting access individually instead of just looking at their team affiliation out of fairness (and a couple have already been turned away/not even put up to a vote for that reason), but the ultimate decision will always be up to the general consensus of the board.

I think all of our current visitors are great posters and should stay, but we need to tighten up on who we let in so we don't ruin what we have going right now.
