He has been with him his whole Head Coaching career. He was the OC/QB coach, now the HC at TTU who beat SMU last night 41-23. Had 31 first downs, passed for 413 yards. Of course, SMU also had 31 1st downs and passed for 388 yards. Will be interesting to see how he does without him as the season rolls along. Was he the man behind the man?

About as much as he missed him in the Cotton Bowl.

Which is to say: Not much at all.

I'm sure Sumlin was just a product of Kliff's success as a grad assistant as well.

We won't know after today.

Since Sumlin has always had KK there's no history to look at either. If I were to guess I'd say they'll miss him, we'll see.

Not much at all! Coach Sumlin was a very successful OC at OU.

Is this one of those, Black Men Can't Think ASSumptions?

As much as he missed him while A&M was setting the Cotton Bowl yardage record.

It's pretty much the unanimous opinion of A&M fans that our best overall offensive performance of the year was against OU given the playcalling and quality of the opponent.

So has Clarence McKinney. In fact, McKinney held a more prestigious offensive coaching position than Kingsbury in three of Sumlin's five head coaching seasons. He was the recruiting coordinator and running back coach while Kingsbury was still a quality control assistant. Last year as our running game coordinator we led the SEC in rushing.

After watching this first half, I would say not near as much as Moore and Jonathan Stewart.
