Don't You Want to Be Wrong About Auburn, Tennessee, Arkansas, Etc?

Do you secretly want to see these other teams grow up and start beating top dogs?
Let's say you're an LSU, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, or Alabama fan. Your own team doesn't have to lose, but you can watch Auburn rise up and beat Alabama, LSU and Georgia. Tennessee suddenly starts knocking teams off in the East. Arkansas beats LSU and Alabama.
Wouldn't that make the season more exciting?
I guess I just wonder why I laugh at Arkansas and Tennessee and the likes and seriously think, "They suck. They'll never turn it around." But if they don't, then it's same damn thing year in and year out. In reality, I want the middle tier and lower tier teams to rise up and become real football teams again.

One of these teams has had 2 top 10 finishes the past 3 years. One of these teams will be relevant again in the next 5-6 years, and one of these teams paid for a national title 3 years ago, but Queen Karma is ramming up there asses now in the Western Division cellar.

I'm fine with an established hierarchy.
Mostly one that starts with Bama and ends with Auburn, but everything in the middle can be jumbled up as long as Tennessee is near the bottom.

Why would I, an LSU fan, want to lose to Auburn and Arkansas? For the hopes of the season being more exciting?
I'll pass.
I'll pass.

I want Auburn to win a few recruiting battles with Alabama but not enough to beat us.

Read the OP again. Your team doesn't have to lose. It'd be Florida, Georgia, and Alabama losing.
I guess I"m mainly asking if you want competition to be fierce or if you want to just blowout the majority of the teams you or anyone else plays.

It changes every year. Last year was A&M's turn to rise up. This year may be for Tennessee. What I'm ready to see is one of these teams replace LSU or Alabama in the West.
Btw, I still think of South Carolina in the same vein, also. Since Holtz arrived in Columbia, South Carolina has been consistently overranked. Last year was the first time I think they deserved their lofty ranking.

Tennessee is winning 11 regular season games this year. Our only loss will be Oregon.

I was just tossing out a cookie for Tennessee fans, because they've been starved for so long.

Parity is a mixed blessing. I'd rather beat a 12-0 team and an 0-12 team than two 6-6 teams.

One of these teams has never won the SEC and probably never will, so belongs nowhere on the list.

not gonna happen when Saban and Miles are still the coaches.

Screw that. If UT rises again it'll be that much harder for us to recruit and continue our own rise.

Seriously, if Auburn can win it, I think Arkansas is long overdue. We've won, or shared, the SEC-W just as many times and the series between the two is tied in SEC play (we're 9-6 in the last 15 years.)
