UK has moved the Louisville game to rivalry weekend. It will be the first time they don't end the season with UT since the 50's. Also the Vandy game won't be in November for the first time since the 50's.

So, UK fans, are these changes permanent? And if so, are you happy about it?

as long as it doesn't interfere with open basketball practices, I doubt UK fans care.

(although I wish they would)

I can see the addition now that U of L will be in the ACC. That is basically SEC-ACC weekend. It still is going to be a little weird.

Damn, UT's program is in a serious downward spiral if Kentucky is replacing them on the schedule for Rivalry Weekend.

I love it. Now, if we can play UF in late October or November would be better.

Why is that?

My guess is because it tends to get cold in Kentucky around that time of year.

I'll miss playing y'all at the end of the season. In the bad years, that is always a possible win to look forward to and give some hope. I'm sure y'all feel the same way.

It's not the South Pole or anything.

We aren't moving shiite for UK though. Don't matter.

Yeah, but Vandy will now be playing UT that weekend, so I think it works out well for all parties. Or am I being presumptuous with that line of thinking?

It sets up because you will have great instate rivalries:

UT/Vandy
Kentucky/Louisville
Carolina/Clemson
Georgia/GT
Florida/Florida St./Miami (correct?)
Bama/Auburn
Ole Miss/Ms.State

Then games between neighboring state's flagship institutions:
Arkansas/Mizzou

Then there is the LSU/aggy game on Thanksgiving day.

No, we played them there for years. Uk used to end the season a week early, then we would play UT the next week. They changed the order a decade or so ago.

How do you see this playing out? Competitive or Arkansas just owns them almost every game?

They should be competitive in basketball for another year or two before the bottom falls out of the HaithFaith.

I think it'll be competitive most years. They both have similar recruiting history over the past decade or so. But if Arky could ever get a foothold in the DFW recruiting area, then it could turn lopsided.

UT vs Vandy goes right in line with the SEC-ACC theme.

I am so sick of seeing this shite. There are plenty of Kentucky fans, myself included, that don't even really like basketball.

I'd give up every NCAA basketball championship that our team has for about half as many BCS trophies.

Kentucky alone has signed 26% of all top-10 HS recruits over the past 5 seasons.
