New and town, married with young children. Finally got a sitter. Taking wife out, and recommendations? Tight on money (see "children"), so nothing expensive.
Thanks!

Thanks!

McDonalds... Jk Jk
Mojitos(Mexican food) is nice but not too bad on the wallet.

What does this even mean? I believe you're looking for the tiger rant if you want advice from poor people.
but seriously i'd recommend pesto cafe. It's a little pricy but not ridiculous. Very good date restaurant.

Yeah, Pesto Cafe is a really good date place. Entrees range from $10-25, with most around $15-18. It's not outrageous but it's not exactly cheap if you're on a tight budget, especially if you add in any appetizers or drinks.
What sort of price range are you looking for? That will help us make better suggestions.

I like to do things, so one of our spots to hit up on occasion is the bowling ally out in Rogers. Cannot remember the name, but it is the exit right after JB Hunt.
They have pretty good burgers. You can order while you are bowling. Nice clean place. Has a good sized arcade, a bar in the bowling ally, indoor go kart track, miniature golf next door as well.
As someone said, Mojito's is nicely priced and good food. Can leave there and hop over to catch a movie after.
If she like art, run her up to Crystal Bridges.
Also, you can get a $100 gift card to Ruths Chris right now for $75 at Sams Club. So, that might be an option. Saw that the other day.

Fastlane is what you're referring to, and yeah it is pretty sweet. The black light bowling is super kewl.

Great, thanks for the info, any recommendations for places with live music and dancing that won't be full of undergrads?
Posted on 8/7/13 at 12:03 pm to lsucow
Dancing? You talkin waltz or jitterbug?
Posted on 8/7/13 at 12:07 pm to Stonehog
No, not Ballroom. Do people not dance to live music around here? Blue, etc?
Anyway, are there any classy, non-undergrad places on Dickson that are worth going to?

The older people hit happy hour at George's, and Jose's, for a band and some dancing.
A cheap date for sure is Crystal Bridges. Its a (not exaggerating in the slightest) World Class art museum and its free.
A nice stroll at the Botanical Gardens in Fayetteville is also a good choice on a nice evening.
Greenhouse Grille generally has a nice little jazz or blues band at dinner, too, although I don't usually see dancing there. Its hippie food, though.

Actually, do this. Ignore the rest, and take her here. Atmosphere, unique, good food, and you can get out of there for 10-12 bucks each, minus drinks.
You could walk to Maxine's, Tables & Ale, or Lightbulb Club from there, although all would most likely be 20-something crowds. At least its not as young as Dickson most nights.
Worst case scenario, you can window shop the square, and stroll by Center Street, see Savoy Tea Room, or catch a band at Stolen Glass, which never charges a cover. All of this within a few blocks walk.

stolen crowd is a little older and more townie also in my opinion. It's a good place to go catch a band and dance a little.

If its Friday night, a couple of good bands are playing at Kingfish, too. I'll be there.

I haven't been to Fayetteville in about a year and I'm coming back to visit next week. What are one or two places that have opened in the past year that I absolutely can't miss?
Out of the new breweries, which is the best to visit?
