Do you ever get asked if you played varsity sports at your school?

I get asked if I played football or basketball for A&M all the time. Was a pet peeve of my dad's (he was more proud that he didn't need athletics to attend college), but I think it's kinda cool to be asked most of the time.
On the flip side, though, it can be a little annoying if it seems like someone assumes athletics are the only reason I have an Aggie ring on my finger

I deleted didn't want someone who didn't get my humor to get offended.
And I am an average height white person. Nobody thinks I played a sport.

It used to happen all the time to me cause I'm a big guy.
I usually gave them this look like- Have you ever seen a D1 athlete up close?? They could eat me!

Did this happen when you were in school? Because if you didn't lie your arse off to every girl that asked you, you fricked up bad.

I get asked if I played football for Bama pretty much every time I tell someone I went there.

Yeah, that's the usual reason people ask me, not because I'm black.

That's the thing folks don't get. It's hard to appreciate on TV just how freakish these athletes are. I may have the frame for a linebacker, but I'd have gotten my lunch eaten if I stepped on a practice field at A&M.
My little brother barely lasted as a walk on LB at A&M for a couple years, and that kid is jacked, let me tell you.

Nope, can't say that's ever been an issue.
