Alabama Schedule

What would happen if multiple teams where undefeated and 'Bama's strength of schedule came in question. After the A&M game the Crimson Tides schedule is awfully weak.

Wouldn't matter. Bama is defending champs. They run the table, they're in, end of story.

I hope it depends on how they look all year and how well A&M and LSU and the East team look all year. And maybe a few other teams like VT or others look pretty good too. I know it's an easy schedule compared to other SEC teams. I'd still dare any other team in the country outside of the SEC to play A&M LSU and the East winner.

Bobby Boucher would show up at halftime and the Mud Dog would win the Bourbon Bowl

when you win 3 championships in 4 years, generally youll get benefit of the doubt

Plus there is that whole SEC streak thing going on. Would make complete and total sense to leave out an undefeated SEC champion.

What WCA and GWT said, also.

Interesting point, but in all honesty, what national title contender from another conference plays a drastically tougher schedule than Alabama, considering that Alabama will also be playing an 11 or 12 win East champion?
Phil Steele has Bama at #40 in SOS (not including an SEC title game). LINK
The only non-SEC title contenders with tougher schedules according to Steele are: Oklahoma, Stanford, Notre Dame, Texas, UCLA, and Michigan. And 3 of those 6 do not play a conference title game. Plus, if you really look at the schedules, in terms of big, marquee games (which is what voters want to see), those are not really any better than Alabama's.
Bama's schedule is not that great compared to SEC teams, but nationally its a solid schedule with a legit BCS non conference opener.

Bama will start high in the polls anyway, so it would take a loss for them to drop much. Couple that with the fact that they would play in the SEC CG at the end of the season...SOS will be just fine.

1 loss might get us with this schedule, but undefeated give us a win over a&m, LSU, and the east champ and as defending champs that would be enough. Between VT and the other west teams I would expect at least two more wins over ranked teams.
But with a loss we will need luck.

Obviously there can only be one SEC unbeaten and the odds of two teams outside the sec going unbeaten and having a tougher schedule are slim.
