I'm guessing Oxford will just tune in to WREG?

I understand why Texas wants to put games on the LHN but it ends up making their scheduling a lot harder in the future. As an OOC team you can't schedule them if they are going to play games about who can broadcast the game.

So the hell with them. Instead of playing Texas I'd just as soon see LSU play TCU or OU in Dallas or do a home/away with OU. I can watch those games.

When your own fans hate you for pulling shite like this because they realize it's a shitty thing to do, then it's time to rethink how you're doing business. Texas fans are just as pissed about this as Ole Miss fans are.

I assume the state of Mississippi will get treated to a simulcast with LHN homer announcers?

The game will be on a lot more TV sets in Mississippi than in Texas. In Texas, the game will be on lhn which hardly anybody gets.

Lately everything the shorthorns touch has been turning to shite.

How did this happen to Ole Miss? Did they have no say at all in whether or not the game would be on the LHN? And if they didn't, why the hell did they agree to play it?

The contract was signed well before the LHN was introduced, and the visiting does not have any say so.

There was fine print that would never normally come into play but gave Texas the right to broadcast the home game of the home/away on whichever network they decided.

It is not surprising they would want to do this but IMO pretty short sighted because no major schools or even marginal schools like Ole Miss will want to play a home/away against them in the future. Half or more of the reason for Ole Miss to play Texas is to increase their exposure - this game being on the LHN gives Ole Miss less exposure in Texas than they would have gotten playing midmajors

OM would have gotten a lot more TV coverage in Texas if they had scheduled Texas Tech, Baylor, etc.

This game is on lhn in Texas and probably only a few dozen people will see it.
