I'd take Jonathan Wallace over Philip Ely everyday of the week and twice on Saturday. Now, I would take Phillip Ely over Kiehl Frazier.

I get years mixed up but was Ely the main QB recruited that year for Bama or a throw-in?

2011 class, correct? That's a long time ago. Someone might have to help us out.

Frazier
Has started in as many National Title games as the rest of the Elite 11 winners
White looks like a good Qb and I think he has the tools to thrive in Gus's system similar to Moore at Boise and Keenum under Sumlin. Accurate, quick thinking/delivery, good footwook,ect.. His skillset also transitions well to a camp setting like the Elite 11, while others who may be considered to have more upside may struggle.
The Elite 11 is good for the players and football in general, but you cant accurately base a prospects potential off of it.

You missed the point. Guys like Pike, Frazier, Wallace were thought of as prime QB's by your fan base. Ely not so much, even by our coaching staff.

You let a rival fanbase member beat you to the punch in announcing an Auburn QB commit. You are slacking.

LOL. No Auburn fan had ever heard of him until he signed. He came out of no where and everybody was like WTF.

Who says we didn't want him? Just because you don't recruit a guy doesn't mean you wouldn't take him.

Zeke Pike was thought to be something special early on, but we didn't think very highly of him by the time he got to campus. Jonathan Wallace definitely wasn't thought of as a prime quarterback, and he was a backup plan. And Kiehl Frazier was, but he was just a huge bust.
And Gus Malzahn did want Cam Newton.

Wallace, after Frazier stunk it up, was going to be the savior.

Breh, I was helping with transfers and gait training. I'm still disappointed in myself, though.

We just wanted a switch because we knew Kiehl Frazier's confidence was shot and there needed to be preparation for the future.
