Yeah, I agree...I'd throw Moncrief from OM in there too...and like you said at the end of your post..could be a situation like that.

He doesn't have elite speed. He is far from slow and it's not like his speed is a negative, he just isn't running in the 4.3 low 4.4 range. People don't realize how fast just a 4.5 is. It's plenty fast enough to get behind a defense. Jerry rice wasn't fast but he ran precise routes.

Amari Cooper is the next Jerry Rice. HEARD IT HERE FIRST FOLKS. check back in 15 years.

Jordan Matthews. He's the only guy who will get thrown to.
You are forgetting about Boyd on the other side. Last year during ACS's limited snaps he looked to Boyd more. That is the only reason I haven't been screaming Matthews. With Stacey gone, Vandy should throw more. If ACS is good, one of the Vandy receivers could easily contend for the title.

Ha ha. Like I said earlier. He reminds me of Josh reed. Not a physical specimen but catches everything thrown his way. It would've been fun to see what he would've done had he not been hurt for 3-4 games.

He is an absolute beast, the entire package no doubt.
Can you imagine how sick he and Teddy were in HS?
Gew.

And wasn't even the most anticipated WR in his class.

Was zac Stacy the little rb Vandy had? I would've loved to see what that kid could do behind a Bama or lsu line. That kid fought for every yard he got. Made a lot of positive yardage on his own. Dude had a heart of a giant. Always impressed me

I agree, hopefully he stays healthy for this entire season... to that.

Yeah man, what a scary HS football team that must've been...Glad they both didn't go to Miami.

If you say so.
But, back on topic, I agree that he probably won't lead the SEC in yards, even if he is the best WR. Some pass happy team with a good WR will probably lead this.

Stacy scorched our tits for 3 straight years. I bought him a graduation gift.

ESPN Analyst Updated 01/20/2012 Cooper is a smooth, athletic pass catcher with a lot of natural ability at the position. Falling under the radar due to a lack of great overall production throughout his career but we expect a prolific senior campaign. This guy flashes big-play ability as a pass catcher and possesses some great hands. While he lacks elite speed he gets in out of his breaks quick. More quick than fast.

Zac Stacy is from Cetreville, Alabama, just down the highway from Tuscaloosa.

That doesn't even make sense...he'll be a Sophomore this year....
ETA: I just saw the date...I assume they're talking about his HS years....my fault.

Then that insider needs to find a new career. Cooper was a freshman in 2012. He's not going to be a senior in 2013.
