Post your brutally honest perceptions of Columbia, Mizzou's campus, and Mizzou's football stadium.

MizzouNationImprovements.org needs honest feedback.

I've never been. Buddy from UGA who went last fall said campus was just okay, COMO was different but cool and that the tailgate atmosphere was a joke. Thought your stadium was weak and thought y'all had a long way to go in terms of being a long term fit.

Take it FWIW.

I love the atmosphere of Columbia. It seems really laid back. Everyone is friendly not only in Columbia, but everywhere in MO I've been. As for the campus, it seemed really spread out to me. Way too spread out. I don't know if that's how it actually is, but that's how it seemed.

There didn't seem to be much room for tailgating, and where we were was pretty far away from the stadium, and it wasn't too festive. The stadium was loud, but it sure didn't seem like there were 70,000 people.

All in all a good experience, but kinda seemed like a very very big high school with a huge stadium. No dig. JMHO.

I was there in October. I love the city and campus, but the football stadium left a lot to be desired. But it has potential.

I agree. Mizzou's currently working on that issue...

I'd place the campus in the lower half of the SEC, but the city in the upper half of the SEC. Good trip IMO.

Stadium is a big step below the nice ones in the conference, but still not bad.

Maybe I didn't see enough of the campus, but I thought it was top half of the SEC. The city as well.

Absolutely. Anyone who posts that Columbia, MO is terrible, the campus is awful, etc., etc., haven't been to Missouri.

Those people are clear as day trolls and uninformed idiots.

Huh? Was out there with a bunch of UGA people...didn't hear one person complain about the tailgate atmosphere...quite the opposite. One of the better tailgating experiences I've had in the SEC...better than the other Columbia by far.

I'm about as big a Mizzou fan as you will find and even I think the tail gating is just ok. It could be much better. The parking is just inadequate and too scattered. But then my frame of reference for good tail gating is Arrowhead in KC - two completely different experiences.

Hmm. Someone being honest. Isn't funny how statements without a flame agenda just sound better.

Depends on which part of the campus you've visiting. I think the area around the Stadium/Hearnes Center/University Hospital is horrible with all the parking and ugly buildings. The actual campus I think is beautiful, but I've only driven by a few other SEC campuses.

My very first college football game was as an eight year old at Faurot Field in 1992... saw the Ags beat Mizzou 26-13. Don't remember much about the game honestly, but I do remember the rock "M".
