Why? So the arse-whooping would be worse?

You don't want Oregon fans drinking into the night.

It's not like we're going to win, I just wanted to see a night game at Autzen.

let's be real, they probably have no real shot anyway.... although chip did lose his first game as HC, so I guess anything's possible.

That was on the road against a top 5 team.

We brought zero returning starters on the oline in that game. This game is the third game on our schedule.

Was Chip's first loss the Blount sucker punch game?

If we learned one thing from you in 2011, it is that Oregon's replacements for starters are better than any player to ever play at the school prior to their ascension. #lolRickyHeimuli

In all seriousness, Heimuli is drawing the same kind of rave reviews as Johnson. We expect him to take over games at 6'4" 321 pounds. We are replacing to tackles at 275 and they were lighter the year before in '09. These guys are going to be replaced by two three hundred pound somoan run stuffer. The strategy of milking the clock with 9 minute drives isn't going to work against this defense. This dline will eventually stop the run on 1st and 2nd down and force JJ into an obvious throwing situation.

Oregon is getting better talent each year. That shouldn't come as a surprise. However, the 2008 oline class was the best Oregon ever had. The 2009 group became solid if not unspectacular. Heimuli is a very good DT. Unfortunately, he injured his elbow after the Auburn game, came into the LSU game with a sprained ankle and Remington started at NT out of position (3rd on the depth chart because the other somoan I reference was having back issues), and last year he had back problems. Through all of that he has played and Oregon's defense has been good.

In three years he has about 40 tackles and 3 TFLs. He's not a household name. He's hardly an Oregon name.

First of all, he plays NT in a two gap 3-4 defense. As Bama fans repeatedly point out, Jesse Williams wasn't a stat monster either. These guys plug holes. Secondly, he has battled constant injury. He injured his elbow after Auburn game and was unable to participate strength conditioning. I read after the fact that his strength dropped significantly. Secondly, he played through a nagging high ankle sprain in 2011. Last year, he missed games battling back issues. He came out of his true frosh year playing in our rotation when we had enough guys to redshirt him. He came in 2011 with a lot of promise playing as true frosh and being an all American high school recruit. He has had some unfortunate luck.

Oh wow, this is going to be on vs the Bama-A&M game. I think the ratings are gonna suck. Surprised they would pick this time slot.

J/K Vols. You guy have no excuse to let a freaking left coast team beat you. You better not embarrass the rest of the SEC, I don't care if no one is watching it.
