It's 100% fact that the two teams in Atlanta played the absolute worst cross divisional opponents. If Bama and UGA had met in the regular season, as scheduled, then one of those teams would not have been in Atlanta.
It's also 100% fact that if LSU didn't give the drive of the century to AJ MCCANNON, LSU would have been in Atlanta and probably would have won the BCSNC.
So, lesson of the day = don't complain and whine about this....simply beat Alabama and it will work out. Harder said than done, so continue your whining.

I said last year they would have a bridge schedule for this year as well. Let's see what type of crap schedule they give this time.

As long as it's Kentucky, or Mizzou, or he doesn't have to open SEC play at Texas A&M in week 2 of the 2012 season.

I hope it's at Mizzou, I want to make that trip.

Then why does he run form the tough teams? Tenn & Kentucky? Yeah that's stepping up to the challenge. Tenn & Mizzou? Yep he sure stuck his nose in it last year didn't he?
Serious question: Do you really think Saban makes alabama's SEC schedule?

I wouldn't start booking that trip.

Seriously, some folks give Saban way more power and credit than he deserves. It's getting freakin ridiculous.

Also saw today that Saban said when HE was at LSU, he had no problem playing UF every year
He also said that he wasn't going to be the Alabama coach.
Yes, and Saban is a known liar who says whatever he has to to get his way in the moment. Saban griped about EVERYTHING when he was at LSU just like he does now. He is even griping about hurry-up offenses and saying that you should not have to win your division to play for the national championship after he previously said that you should have to win your conference, etc.
Blah, blah, blah. When Saban speaks, all that I know is that it benefits him. That is all.

He never said that.
It was added to his page by OSU fans on wikipedia in 2011. He never actually said it.
Soooo

i guess its pointless to even reply, but prior to the revisionist history Mizzou was supposed to be the tougher of the 2 new teams going into the 2012 season and was supposed to give everybody fits with their high powered offense. also, why act like we play kentucky all the time? lsu has played kentucky more recently that we have?

1. Do you recall the snit fit he threw when there was talk about moving the Rust Bowl to a day othr than the Saturday after Thenksgiving?
2. He doesn't have to. the Red elephant Cult in the SEC office protects him. They don't want their team getting beat up by the strong East teams. Play the patsies and let your currrent biggest rival in the West get hammered by the more talented East teams.
It's not that hard, sparky.

If Alabama plays someone other than South Caroline next year, I will agree that there is something fishy going on with the bridge scheduling.
Posted on 5/28/13 at 2:24 pm to Gray Tiger
that's is fricking funny.
Posted on 5/28/13 at 2:24 pm to CheeseburgerEddie
We'll probably get UGA and a patsy.
Posted on 5/28/13 at 2:27 pm to JordonfortheJ
I think we stay on previous rotation schedule at this point. And I'm pretty sure South Carolina was scheduled to rotate on after Kentucky. All of that is speculation though.

Bama gets Vandy
To be fair, Bama and Vandy have a historic rivalry with 83 games played. The Tide has only played Tennessee and State more.

Look i love to hate alabama more than you guys love to complain, but surely you don't believe this.
and you mean current team closest in talent in the west, right, not rival?

Is Mississippi St in every schools top 3 in time played? LSU has played them more than any other school IIRC. I know Ole Miss has too, and now they're Bama's second most common.
