no offense but who the frick wants to play UK or UT right now? I will take our marquee games with georgia and florida every year,because more than likely it will be the premier game of the week, chance to show out and guess what..... we still get to play bama
beat them and we are usually in the drivers seat, scheduling didnt matter, show me a year where we beat Bama but Bama still went to the SEC title game over us b/c of the schedule
its bout time we get to go back to the classic city

No, we started whining after the bye week crap happened for at least 5 years in a row, not after 2. I would bet my house that Bama will be playing one of either UGA, UF or USCe next year.

That is exactly what happened to TAM last year. The Aggies beat Bama but lost to LSU and Florida.
Year in and year out, Bama and TAM will have a gigantic advantage over LSU as long as the BEAST from the East (Florida) plays LSU more than anyone else in the West.
TAM has learned their lesson; dummy up and let the SEC keep putting it to LSU--year in and year out.
TAM and everyone else knows Bama is the alpha male, and LSU is the omega bitch in the SEC West, and everyone wants to keep it that way. Nobody in the SEC West wants to lose their phony baloney traditional rivalry game, not even TAM.

5 years in a row? Are you sure about that? are you sure it wasn't just one year?
While I agree it was unfair for the one year in theory, however the way it fell for bama that year, wasn't an issue. Although if the cards had fallen differently with the teams and the dates it could have been an issue. The change that the sec passed because of this issue was for all teams, not just bama.

From 2007 to 2010, Alabama played 17 teams that had bye weeks the week before the game. The next closest school to that number was LSU at 5. Then in 2011, we played 3 teams that had byes, even though no one was supposed to have more than 2. So that is at least 5 years. I haven't seen any research past 2007.

lsu-uf is one of the best games of the year (at least usually) and is one of my favorite matchups. i hope we play them every year.
now it does suck to play them and uga in the same year when your main threat to your division/conference/national hopes is playing fricking kentucky and tennessee but what can you do

I like the Florida game, I look forward to it every year. I think more people complain about other teams having permanent opponents that are consistently terrible, ala Tennessee. I wouldn't mind seeing Alabama have to play SC and UF or UGA all in one season... Which won't happen.
