The schedule was no where as easy as some of the free rides Bama has gotten lately /thread

Bull. fricking. Pussy.

LSU's 2007 SEC schedule:

8-5 Miss State
6-6 South Carolina
9-4 Florida
8-5 Kentucky (lost)
9-4 Auburn
7-6 Alabama
3-9 Ole Miss
8-5 Arkansas (lost)

SEC Opponents' record: 59-44

Meanwhile, at evil bammer:

2009 Alabama SEC opponents' record: 60-43 (went 8-0)
2011 Alabama SEC opponents' record: 59-44 (went 7-1)
2012 Alabama SEC opponents' record: 53-47 (went 7-1)

One year, Alabama had a harder schedule. One year, Alabama and LSU had an equal schedule. One year, LSU had a harder schedule. Plus, it took Alabama three years to lose as many conference games as LSU.

Clearly the SEC is in Alabama's pocket. Print the t-shirts because tigerdrippings says so.

The schedules have been discussed ad nauseum going back 4 years. This year is the first year it is obviously lopsided GOING INTO THE SEASON (which is the key phrase in my comment that you quoted). In 2012, a lot of people thought Mizzou would compete for the SEC east. They were supposed to be the team that wouldn't struggle, not aTm.

Now tell me where the schedules were lopsided before 2012.

LSU fans have an inferiority complex that UF fans don't.

I wouldn't mind seeing Alabama have to play SC and UF or UGA all in one season... Which won't happen

Did you have cable tv way back in 2010? Played UF & USc. 2008/2007 played UGA, played USc in 2009 g 2010; UF was 2010/2011..Plus we play UT every year, who historically is the 2nd best team in the conference. They haven't been good recently but they're an elite program .

So quit acting like Bama never plays the better SECE teams.

LSU fans thought UF was going to be a gimme of a game last year, they were predicted to be in the middle of the pack in the east.

In 2012, Bama escaped with a hard fought 42 to 10 thriller over the always dangerous Missouri Tigers, and against their hair-raising arch rival Tennessee Volunteers, Bama was able to hammer out another nail-biter of a win by the score of 44 to 13.

Meanwhile, TAM lost the SEC Western crown to Bama by losing to the beast from the east Florida Gators 17 to 20, even though they had upset the defending national champion Alabama Crimson Tide by a score of 29 to 24.

Who could have guessed that Florida would halp hand the Crimson Tide another SEC Western Crown?

as an lsu fan i dont have a rivalry with florida, so someone elses rivarly game should not impact my games, playing florida every year and hardly ever playing the other east teams, especially as conference size increases.

also from now til entirety,

toughest east schedule

LSU - UF and UGA
Bama - Tenn and UF

Easiest east schedule

LSU - UF and Vandy
Bama - Tenn and Vandy

I'm sorry, I forgot. Not only does the REC hold absolute sway over the SEC office, but they also have the power of prophecy. They looked into the future and saw that Mizzou would suffer a rash of injuries, and would totally tank the season despite being picked by numerous people to compete for the east.

History has proven that over time, those schedules will be fairly equal. UT won't be down forever.

Yep and South Carolina up until 3-4 years ago was average to garbage- a homecoming type team prior that.

Well the real culprit who handed Bama the west crown was Bama. Took that bitch from LSU in Baton Rouge at night in a revenge game for LSU in front of the largest crowd in LSU stadium history. It was a thing of beauty, got up early on LSU, let our guards down and let LSU get the momentum and lead, made them think they'd won the game and the ripped their hearts out !

If you actually thought mizzou would compete then you truly are delusional. I buy that hype about as far as I buy the hype thay Florida State will win the natty every year. You are right though you played such a scary East team.

Yep, still can't believe Alabama whined so much about bye weeks...which the SEC had very little control over. But hey, no one can complain about the arbitrary bridge schedule, which they completely controlled.

These numbers don't really support your argument. You have it set up to have a rent a win every year from the east plus your weak arse OOC schedule leaves a lot to be desired in nearly every year. Luckily we have ATM here now so you have to get up for more than just one game a year. You escaped DV this year, which is your usual one game you have to get up for. Then you had to play a second quality opponent and the Tide ripped apart from the seams.
