Really, Mizzou is who should be pissed. Bama fricked them over pretty hard due to Bama's concerns.

Meh.

I think you have to leave the Big Six as it is. 3 in the West, 3 in the East. Aggies balance out Carolina right now. That much works. We just need a 9th game so we can get back to having the 2nd rotating cross division game.

quote:

It is not fair for Mizzou to have to pay for constant cross country journies in every sport and their fans to have to travel so far if they want to watch them play all because bama got its panties in a wad.

They shouldn't have joined the SEC then. They belong in the Big Ten or else wherever Kansas is.

But the SEC West vs. SEC East for Mizzou isn't much difference travel wise. Average travel distance for Mizzou to SEC West schools is 610 miles. Average travel distance to SEC East schools is 685 miles. Not much difference. And I'm sure Arkansas will be their permanent opponent soon.

Similar to then when AU had just won 3 in a row against bama and 5 out of 7, when bama was worried about AU moving East, AU was the defending national champ who had just beaten bama for the past 7 out of 9 times.

I didn't read every one of those articles, and I'm not. But I have yet to read where anyone directly quoted an Alabama official. Cmon dude, they were closed door meetings. You will not find an official quote from ANY representative of any SEC school on how they voted and why

There you go,TiM finally admitted he was full of shite when he claimed Alabama said they were "Scared" of Au's recruiting potential if they moved to East, which is laughable to begin with. It was about preserving rivalry games for Bama, UGA, UF and Etc who all voted it down.

However, Au viewed the expansion as way to tuck tale a run from the competition/Daddy in the West- Bama, with LSU and A&M both being stronger programs as well . Au thought/know they will always be 2nd class in the west and out of desperation begged to go to the east. Blaming Bama on not getting the approval gives them the ability to cast blame, REC, on their failures. Typical MO for Au.

So all he's got is some speculation from an AL.com writer/article and the ITAT/NtY spin. Plus Au fans are always claiming that AL.com writers are not trustworthy and full of shite. Guess it's different when they can spin an article to match their NtY group think propaganda

Nick Saban wasn't behind the power play to put Mizzou in the East. As much power as he wields, he's only a football coach.

Assuming that is the quote, it does not state what was requested of a link.

Let's see.
2012 Bama plays Tennessee and Mizzou while LSU plays UF and USCe, (two patsy's vs two Top 10 teams.
2013 Bama plays Tennessee and Kentucky (two dogs) while LSU plays UF and UGa (two top 10 teams)

That's fair.. A cakewalk schedule gifted to the Crimson Turd while LSU gets hosed.

There is nothing special about Bama v Tenn or Auburn v UGa.

UF likes playing LSU because of recruiting.

What's the bama version of NtY / itat? You'd fit in well.

NYC- I'm not sure what the Bama equivalent would be to NtY- tiderinsider/Bol? IDK and don't post on any Bama only Forums.

FYI- I am really just yanking TiM's chains with all my rhetoric- he is very easy to get to off on a full on meltdown. Guess that's out of the bad now.

sources? link?

C'mon brah.

You could at least pull a Bleacher Report article out of your arse to support those allegations.

The AL.com writer did reference multiple sources.

Not saying I think those sources were accurate but that's a hell of a lot more than you've produced with your far shittier theories on why AU volunteered to go East if asked to do so.

What we've learned here is it is perfectly acceptable for Alabama to cry, complain, and look out for their best interests when it comes to scheduling....but no one else should.

What you need to lean is that Bama, AU, UGA and UT run the SEC. Big 4. We will keep our rivalry games and the rest of you all will just have to live with it.

And you'll cry about bye weeks and the schedule not being fair, then accuse others of being pussies for talking about the schedule not being fair.
