Do y'all consider Clemson a rival?

I know we used to play them a lit and it was pretty heated in the '80s since both were national powers. But are they still rival with us? I like to think so because my old US history teacher is a Clemson fan and it's always fun to mess with him

No doubt.
Still more fun to beat them than USCe.
Recruiting has always been more intense with them.
If Clemson was in the SEC they would be one of our top 3 rivals, no question.

I fricking hate Clemson in every way imaginable. Douchebags think that they are all fricking rocket scientists because their academics are a little tougher.

News to me. All the kids I know that went to Clemson transferred to UGA because they got rejected from UGA the first go around. They also transferred because there's not shite to do in Clemson.

No, they are a nemesis. In the early 80s UGA/Clemson was one of the most bitter, intense games in the entire country. We've had some great games between the teams in the 80s, 90s, and 00s. But I wouldnt' call them a "rival", unless you want to put them at about 6th on the list.
The way I see it, we have gone through several different eras of who our main "nemisis" is at the time. In the 80s it was clemson and auburn. In the 90s it was florida and tennesse. But make no mistake, our biggest rival for over 100 years, and will be until the day the earth ends, is georgia tech. It honestly tells me a lot about a UGA fan if they claim UF is our biggest rival, because quite simply they're wrong.

Clemson was a bigger rival than UT during the 70s and 80s... They were a lot like Auburn. A lot of Atlanta kids who did not get Ito UGA went to one of those two schools... On any given weekend large amounts of Clemson folks would be in town to party with their HS friends... That is because there was not much to do in Klemson...

Georgia has won 71% of the games against Clempson. They may consider us a rival, but we basicly consider them a skeeter bite on the arm. Swat 'em.
Most UGA fans still consider Tech as our major rival but I think it should be Auburn.

Besides the **** jackets, the tigers are our biggest out of conference rival. We have had bitter battles with those guys and their is no love lost from either side. I can not think of another out of conference team that UGA despises besides Clem's Son. The aforemention turds from North Avenue is the main rival.

Florida is my favorite win. Tech is the loss I dread the most, if that makes any sense.

I'm fairly young so I only remember the fg game in 02 and the arse kicking in Death Valley in 03. I know there's a lot of history but I can't personally hate them when we barely play.

1984 was the best UGA/ClemPson game ever. Butler kicked a 60 yard FG with :11 left to upset #2 Tigers 26-23 in Athens.

Most UGA grads over 50 have Tech #1 on the hate list. I remember guys who played in the real old days would come and talk to us and they hated Tech with a red passion. Auburn was up there with them too and Bama, Clemson, and UT were up there depending on the era. Though UF has been a long time rival game, the hatred was not there until the 60s and even then it took a back seat to Tech and Auburn...

Clemson is not a rival now, they were, but we never play. You have to play to be a rival.
As to who our rivals are now, Tech will always be no 1. Fla is next IMO. The emotions are running higher right now on Fla due to the two decade record and the inverse is true for Tech.
But if tech starts beating us like Fla even richie can start looking.
