I would take our SEC rednecks/hillbillies over illegal immigrants and surfer/lifeguard valley dudes out west, or coal miners/auto workers up north.
Plus all the hot women are from the South...
and a lot of the best food as well.

It's the freakin SEC, all of them have rednecks and if you don't think so you are in denial. Well, with the exception of Vandy maybe haha.

Mizzou. Not even close. You have to live here to understand. No one stops in this state for a reason.

All of the comments from the Ole Miss folks trying to call out State are just comical. We have some redneck students and so do you, but the real rednecks come in the form of sidewalk fans. You have us beat there by a long way because of your confederate flag use.
Having been to all SEC stadiums for a game, it is easily Bama and UT with no one else being close.

It would have to be one of the Mississippi schools.

No. I'd say that Bama, Tennessee, and LSU are higher than State and especially us do to moron sidewalk fans that may have never stepped onto campus.

I grew up in the suburbs of Knoxville. Between growing up in West Knoxville and UT, I have had very few interactions with hillbillies/rednecks. Once you get outside the city of Knoxville though things start to go down hill and fast.

As has been pointed out itt, Far East Tennessee, Eastern Kentucky, SW Virginia, and West Virginia are like another world.

Are we talking like pure amount, or % of fan base?

Pure amount is definitely Bama. If you're talking % of fan base, it's probably Ole Miss or Moo St.

Ole Miss would be one of the least redneck/hillbilly schools. You are an idiot. It's not like South Carolina is a bastion of financial success either.

Depends on how one defines "redneck". In terms of sheer depravity and shameful appearence, hard to beat the state of Arkansas.

Arkansas is very strange, north and south are nothing alike. you can't include the northwest part with the rest of the state. Lot's of money, some what liberal and very few necks.

When I go home to visit family in north east Mississippi I can usually spot a State fan. So I'm going to vote state.

And yes I'm aware I'm a sidewalk bama fan which makes me a giant redneck.

Only Tenn, Ky, and perhaps Ark have hillbillies. Maybe Mo, I don't know. All of the rest, including Vandy, have rednecks.

Special shout outs to these rednecks:

After KY played UGA in football in mid-70' at Commonwealth, my brother and I ran on to the field. This male UGA cheerleader ran up to me and started screaming at me. He pushed me to the ground and tried to pick a fight with me. I WAS TWELVE YEARS OLD!. Could not understand a word this redass mofo said.

I was in a bar called "The Gin" in Oxford after UK beat OM in bball in 1983. I was playing a video game with my buds, minding my own business. This asswipe named "Jo Jo", jumps my shite because I beat his high score. "Jo Jo" was a manager on the OM basketball team, I was told by the good OM people that intervened.

So there you go. UGA and OM. Rednecks.

Mississippi without a doubt. I mean, how many other state schools in modern day times have KKK protests on campus? Sometimes I often wonder if rednecks only pull for Ole Miss because of their flag and gay arse cheers. These supposed Ole Miss fans who are naming other states/schools have obviously never been to Mississippi or they're in a serious state of denial.

Also, Florida should get a little more love. When I went to UCF, I seen way more white trash people in Orlando alone than I believe I have seen in any other state. Not to mention they make the inbreds in Alabama look like models.

I'd say Alabama, Louisiana, Georgia and Tennessee are about even.
