Bama fans, do you miss upsets?

I couldn't imagine the fun in going to every game as a huge favorite (Obviously I want to win every game). Do you somewhat miss the "average" years where you upset some teams? The 2009 Egg Bowl was the most fun game I have ever been too, mainly because of all the OM trash talk before the game. With that said, does a part of your "football fan inside" wish you weren't favored in a game
when I say average, I mean like 9/10-2/3ish with a win against a top 5 team

LSU fans still think it's an upset when Bama beats them so we really have the best of both worlds.

Same here, thanks for the input

I hear what you're saying. Of course we prefer what is happening right now in Tuscaloosa to anything at least in my lifetime (I'm 30) but anyone who can't acknowledge the sweetness of say the '93 Sugar Bowl beatdown against 'unbeatable' and trash talking Miami vs The foregone conclusion of demolishing ND this year I think is kidding themselves. Honestly, Bama was so bad for most of the decade preceding Saban that they almost never managed to upset anyone. Except UF, of course. That was a fun game....

to be totally honest. after the first qtr of the michigan game to the lsu game was kinda boring. i love winning, but it if it were'nt for the really good gameday food we always have. get my drift....

Oh I'll be ready to watch every minute next year but this past season just kinda fizzled at times.

This thread is going a lot better than how I thought it would. These nostalgia posts are just what I was looking for

frick no. It's fun and relaxing expecting to best people all the time. In Knoxville this year for instance I was completely relaxed and not the least bit worried about whether we'd beat UT. Instead of fretting, we enjoyed the day tailgating and the fact that all the Tennessee folks knew they'd get killed. Did some trolling, enjoyed the game, and then took over the bars. So much more fun than being average.

no, but beating a JM quarterbacked aTm team in college station next year will get my dick hard upset style.

I don't miss worrying about every game "Pre-Saban" when you never knew if we'd beat N. ILL, DUKE, Lousiana Directional schools, etc. It's amazing that Bama hasn't really been "upset" since 2007. (UTAH is debatable).

I actually do. I feel more relief than joy these days. The last game I think I really enjoyed was 09 UF, or hell, maybe even 08 UGA.
