What I'm hearing as well. Mix wanted to take an OV to UCLA and Mullen got pissed and threatened to pull his offer.

I've heard from a few peeps that Mix wanted to take a free trip to Cali and Mullen was such a dick to him he almost started crying. It really pissed his mom off.
Here is the diff: A recruit makes Freeze cry from joy and Mullen makes a recruit cry from sadness.
What Freeze did was super gay, but Mullen could take a few recruit arse kissing notes from Freeze.
No fricking 17/18 year old kid wants to hear about hard work, dedication, and getting up at 4:30 AM to be "Balis Made". Let's be real.

I don't think Mullen can offer them a 100% chance at a national championship ring at least once in there 4 years.

You've got to be kidding me.
He wanted a free trip to California, hell he may never get another chance for that. Many of these recruits have likely never been outside the South, hell maybe even never left Mississippi. Let him go and see the country and enjoy himself, he is less likely to flip to other schools by doing that than he is from Mullen being an a-hole.
Plus these stories will get out, and hurt recruiting in the future.

I would like to see a link or hear from Mix himself on the situation. Surely if Mullen did such a thing, he could get over his fricking stubbornness and go see the kid, to get the shite straight. Hell, surely if he knew he was going to decommitt that he went ahead and visited LA?

His rule is dumb and only pisses recruits off. Kids are going to visit elsewhere if they want to. If they really want to go, then they'll sneak out of town like Jones did.

I've always gone off of the rule: "You want what you can't have". All these recruits want to go and visit other schools just to see what it is like, but Mullen is holding them back. If I was a recruit, I would think more highly of a coach that shows loyalty to me and lets me visit elsewhere, but at the same time show confidence and commitment to the recruit. There is a reason Saban doesn't do stuff like this. When I went to the Gator Bowl this year, I stopped by FSU and checked out the campus. It was awesome, great campus, people were nice, and everything was beautiful (even the girls 
), but I wouldn't choose it over State because of the things that I love about MSU. A loyal recruit will stay committed no matter where else he visits because of the love he first showed for the University i.e. MSU.

It's dumb, because he can't control what they do. They aren't on his team yet. They don't follow under any rules of his. Since Jones visited OM this week is Mullen going to pull his offer?

Its a double edged sword though. There are only a handful of guys that schools will wait on a commit from until the last couple of weeks. So its either commit to make sure you have a spot OR don't commit so you can take your trips and just hope that when your trips are done you still have a scholarship offer standing at the school you really want to go to. I actually have a lot less of a problem with Mix going to LA to see a different part of the country if he let our coaches know what was going on than I do Jones going up to Oxford. If Jones wasn't seriously considering the Bears or if someone wasn't getting monetary gain to have Jones take the visit I really don't see any pressing reason for him to take the 100 mile trip to the OTHER state school at this late date.
