I miss the days when I was a kid when my dad (State fan) would take me to State-LSU games over at Dudy Noble. 15-12 games with home runs every inning were epic.

Neigh. :Wilbur:
But I'm not happy right now. Find a better medium in between new and old. No clue how hard or practical that would be. But that's what I would want.

Yey. At the very least give us a little bit more power. Gorilla ball would be nice, but at this point I'd take any little bit of improvement over Noodle-Arm ball.

Wooden bats
What's the real reason they're not used?
I've never heard a really plausible explanation.

The medium was 3 years ago, which was perfect.

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Pretty much. Smaller schools couldn't afford to replace wooden bats.

Yey. If I'm not going to watch the best of the best competing, it should at least be as entertaining as possible.

How so? I don't really believe that they're too expensive for small programs or that the schools would lose too much from bat companies. Unless baseball budgets are just tighter than I thought...

wood bats break and they probably average at least $100 a bat.
smaller schools with smaller budgets can't afford to be replacing bats all year when they can use the same metal bats for the whole season.

Ya I've heard that one and don't believe it. I played in Europe after college and even the former Eastern Bloc teams could afford wood. Especially with composites, which are legal even in the low minors now.
