My UT buddies never give any credit to AJ. Always say it's easy when your wide receivers are wide open or checking down to all american RB's. Does the SECR see AJ like this? Do you think he will have any success at the next level?

I saw someone compare him to Eli Manning. I see the similarities in their games. I think he does well.

I think he will. He has had a great line and great receivers and backs but if he goes into the right system he can flourish. All quarterbacks need a decent line to accomplish much.

Probably a hybrid betweenTom Brady and Aaron Rodgers

It's hard to tell -- we really haven't seen what he can do under pressure. He'll get a chance in the NFL and may surprise. He seems to have the basic physical tools to be a successful pocket passer.

im sorry but i see AJ as a solid #2 and i am a huge Bama fan...But he just doesnt look like a nlf qb to me. Great game manager but if he doesnt have a great....and i mean great running game.... I dont see him making it work. Mcelroy all over in the nfl!

AJ had a lot of time to throw on Monday night, but virtually all of his throws were on the money.

I think he's better than McElroy, but I'm kinda thinking he's going to be a Mark Sanchez type of QB. If he's on a team with a strong defense, solid O-line, and good running game - he can be successful. He's not going to be throwing the ball 40-60 times a game.

He will be a starter somewhere, IMO. He has excellent technique with his drop backs, and makes good calls and reads at the line . He also seems to be that ultra competitive, fiery, leader type. His arm is undoubtedly strong enough for the NFL, and he can seemingly make all the throws. We shall see.

I think he is a lot like Leinart. Tough to rate based on the talent around him. I think his arm is better, giving him a better chance at being NFL successful.
It wouldn't surprise me, though, if he struggled on a team that did not have an overwhelming talent advantage in most games at the OL position.

Good comparison.

He kind of reminds me of Matt Ryan. Not a great arm, but a good one. Needs good weapons around him. Makes good decisions for the most part. Not elite, but solid.
I'm not saying he will be an NFL starter, but he will be a #2 and if the right circumstances happen, who knows.
The comparisons to John Parker Wilson and Greg McElroy are way off. He is better physically (arm strength, etc.) than either of them.

On a team, where he would manage the clock, and let the play makers do their thing. Hand off, get the WR ball in space, he could do well.
But he wouldn't do well, in a situation where the talent is thin, they are rebuilding, and he's the leader of team.

I agree. AJ may not have a Cutler-type arm but he's got a very good arm. He has good touch and accuracy on short and immediate throws especially deep outs. But consitently overthrows on deep balls. Has shown improvement in that area this year.
