Dude a couple of those guys haven't declared yet

2-3 a year is more than most schools...

Most likely, they will.

That's pretty normal for elite programs. It's not like it's routine to see 5 or 6 juniors declare for the draft from one college.

dude I said they rarley have several go early like- meaning in 1 year!! For a team as loaded as Bama don't think it's odd to only have 2 players go early every year?? Once you had 3 go early so what

It's not odd though. What's odd is a mass exodus like LSU has on their hands, which has clearly rustled your jimmies something awful.

If they were a fully developed college football player then they should be first round material. There's no need to leave early if you aren't getting the big bucks to do it. Stay for your senior year, play hard, and raise your draft stock.

No we just have a talented team as talented as yours.NAturally Saban is this difference. It's just weird that you keep more of your juniors year in and year out.
Nobody can deny that Saban has firmly said players should be paid.
Btw I think it's bull crap Warmack increased his draft status alot this year. Dude was a freak last year and he's a freak this year funny he didn't go.

But you've provided no evidence that alabama keeps their juniors at a higher rate than any other school - for pretty obvious reason, it's not true.
There have been plenty of talented teams over the years. No team has ever had 10+ underclassmen leave for the pros. Especially since the majority of them won't sniff the first round. You can spin that how you want, but the facts speak for themselves.
I'm not saying it's a good or bad thing. I'm just stating the obvious: it's very unusual. And alabama has more juniors leave for the pros than most teams, also a fact.

He would have been the second guard taken after Decastro, so that would put him in the 30ish range. He will go top 15 maybe top 10 this year.

No, it's not odd. That's about as many as you see go from any other elite program, unless you have another source available showing some program pumping 4/5/6 juniors to the NFL every year.
I don't have LSU's list available right now, but I'd be willing to wager it's very similar over the past 5 or so years.

What might not be big bucks to you is to someone else. When you're talking about kids from very difficult financial backgrounds who have kids of their own they want to start the clock on them getting paid to play ASAP. I can't say that I fault them for that if that's what they want to do. It's a personal decision although it's predictable and pathetic posters such as yourself want to make it some kind of negative reflection on the program. Like somehow putting a ton of players in the NFL could ever be a negative.

Lets get a list of LSU players that have gone early since 2008

Winning national championships help keep players longer.

Um, he stayed, won his 3rd ring, and will now be drafted in the 1st round. That's as good as it gets.

2-3 players declaring per year is average. LSU losing 9 guys early this year is the anomaly, not Alabama keeping a couple juniors around.

It's funny how alot of SEC coaches have guys leave early pretty regularly, but Bama is loaded and rarely has several go early.
it's also funny how, when saban's players decide to go to the nfl, they typically get drafted pretty early. maybe saban has a little insight into who's ready and who's not.

Exactly. And I understand draconian thinks it's great for LSU, not here to argue that. just saying it's unusual, thats all. I'd be pretty concerned if alabama was experiencing a similar mass exodus, especially among players who won't even sniff the early rounds. So much for senior leadership I guess. Anyway, whatever.

Did you not hear? The LSU juniors have all been let in on a top secret classified briefing about the new nfl cba. that's why they're all going pro all of the sudden, regardless of draft grade. no word yet on why LSU was the only school in on the secret.
Every single one except minter was slated as a possible early entry before the season started. I have no idea why it was such a surprise when a bunch off guys that have played since their freshmen year would leave. How many players really play for 3 years and stick around?
If you have a guy that doesnt crack the 2 deep until his sr year, he is staying because thats his only shot at showcasing his talent outside of practice. These guys have been doing it for 3 seasons now.

These are just the drafted juniors, so I might be missing one or two...
2012: Claiborne, Brockers, Randle
2011: Peterson, Ridley
2010: Jones
2009: Jean-Francois
2008: none
