Yeah I remember that, but LSU won that game. Got any other examples?

LSU fans are going to say their guy, Alabama fans are going to say their guy.

During Willis's last collegiate year in 2006, he led the SEC in tackles once again with 11.4 per game and collected 137 tackles, 11.5 TFLs, seven passes deflected, three sacks, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery. He was awarded SEC Defensive Player of the Year, first-team All-SEC, and consensus first-team All-American. He was the winner of the Jack Lambert Award and the prestigious Dick Butkus Award, given to the most outstanding linebacker in college football. He also won the Conerly Trophy, voted upon by the media in Mississippi and awarded to the best college football player in Mississippi. In addition, he was a finalist for the Bronko Nagurski Award and semifinalist for both the Rotary Lombardi Award and the Lott Trophy.[11]

Yep
Anyone who doesn't have him on their All-SEC list shouldn't be taken seriously.

No he wasn't. Arenas had a better average over 4 years. Never go full retard

Punter Drew Butler

I'm still not comfortable with Lutzenkerchen over Charles in the TE position.

The best Kick returner I've seen is Onterio McCalebb. He took back at least 2 this year for touchdowns and I know he took back one last year against Alabama and he always got huge yardage.
wrong.
McCallebb had 1 TD this year on KR.
He had 1 last year.
And in his career he 2.
Arenas had 7.

I just remember when he lit Justin Vincent the frick up around the goal line.

Mathiue was only there for one and got invited to the heisman ceremony because off how great he was at it.
He would've shattered arenas' average if he was there for all 4.
There's really no debate.

jarvis moss and derrick harvey for the DE position. guys were beasts on the end.

He holds the SEC record for PR touchdowns. You're saying a guy with 2 is a better punt returner. He's got a better average over 4 years than Mathieu had in one. You can't argue this with a straight face

Patrick Willis was and still is a monster. Ogletree is a beast, but Patrick Willis >>>> any other SEC LB in a while.
To make everyone happy TM7 and Arenas are the PR/KR. Can't argue with either one being one or the other.
Yes Willis was in the SEC in 2006.

I don't think you understand the definition of an average. It's a lot harder to maintain a high average over 4 years than one dumbass.

He may not be the best return man during this era, but you have to put tyrann on this team regardless. you could have just created a NB spot to put him there and then put Arenas at PR.

I never said he was "better" so that would be a straw man argument.
What I said was Mathieu was WAY more clutch than Arenas.
But it wasn't just punt returns. For example, in the CCG he turned the game around almost by himself with a PR for a TD, a fumble recovery on the 20, and another PR to the 20. He scored 1 TD and set up the next 2. Boom. LSU 21, Georgia - doesn't matter cause we're up and not looking back.
You want return yards, take Arenas. You want a clutch motherfrickin football player, take Mathieu all day, any day.

Javier Arenas:

PR TD (7)
also ranked:
4th in NCAA history for # of PR (125)
2nd in NCAA history for PR yardage (1752)

Mathiue's one year was better than anything Arenas ever had.
He got invited to the HEISMAN ceremony because of it.
Arenas never came close to sniffing that.
Also, how many did Arenas return for kickoff touchdowns? I know it sure as hell wasn't seven.

Isn't familiar with the term "average"
ETA: please don't use an invite to New York to justify TM7 as being better. A heisman is won in a campaign and isn't necessarily to the best player.

He got invited to the heisman for his body of work, mainly the forced fumbles. This debate is about returning punts, arenas is the best punt returner in conference history. Kill yourself

Lutzenkirchen is a terrible pick. Aaron Hernandez is easily better.
