Which SEC program had the best assistants at one time on staff?

Kentucky did at one time. Blanton Collier at Kentucky had future star coaches served as assistants. Don Shula, Chuck Knox, Howard Schnellenberger and Bill Arnsparger.
Have to say, that is a stout of a staff.

Doc, Saban had one hell of a staff there. But how many of them have Natty and Super Bowl rings as HC's?

This was probably the best but Auburn 2002 was pretty good as far as assistants go.

Ole Miss Spring 1978
Bill Parcells
Mike Holmgren
Romeo Cormell
Bill Belichick
All four got hired away prior to that fall.
ETA: Also on the staff was George Macintyre, who Mike Macintyre's father. Although I'm not sure how good of a coach he was, thought it was interesting.
ETA again: Was misinformed about Belichick. My apologies. However, the other three were all originally were with Steve Sloan and came from Texas Tech to Oxford, though only Cornell actually made it to the fall of '78.

We should probably just sticky and lock the thread, because you pretty much killed it with this post.

Explains why Sloan had so much success his two stops prior to Ole Miss. Talk about what could have been!

WOW
This is very close....I may give the edge to the Ole Miss guys based on Professional credentials but all are excellent staffs.......very close though. I think the top 2 on each staff are even. it comes down to the bottom 2 on each staff to determine which is better as a whole. All are better than Sabans staff here in 2003. Of course this may change, doubtful but it may.
Shula - Belichik
Knox - Parcells
Schnellenberger - Holmgren
Crenell - Ansparger

Do any of y'all know anything about football? Belichick has never even coached in the south, or college football for that matter even other than the the naval academy.
