Does ANYONE think Teo deserves the Heisman, other than these 2 groups:

1. Notre Dame fans.
2. People wanting to see a defensive player win it.
Admittedly, I'm halfway in group 2 - I think it's ridiculous that a defensive player is never seriously considered. But I can't for the life of me see Teo being the one to break that streak. He's a good player and a good guy on an undefeated team. But I don't think anyone seriously thinks he's the best linebacker in the country (other than Irish fans).

Look any time you have a chance to give Notre Dame a Heisman or National Championship you have to. Some things are bigger than you.

Woodson was a defensive player

Considering the best player in the country isn't even being considered, why not?

Johnny deserves to win the Heisman and if he doesn't, it would be a shame.

If any defensive player deserved it over the past years...it was Suh....no player has came close to him in that category besides DT....also Derrick Thomas deserved the Heisman...if we're talking about defensive players who should've won it!! lol.

yes, Te'o deserves the Heisman. He was the best player I saw this year.

If he was clearly the dominate defensive player in college football, I actually would not have a problem with it.
I don't think Bama will be scheming to stay away from Te'o. That ought to tell you something.

I think Teo should get it.
Manziel is a freshman and will be the guy to beat next year.

But I doubt you wanted the best defensive player of the last decade to win it when your spare RB got the award, did you?

Te'o is only there because of his gf and grandma.

If Teo would somehow win, I would write a scathing letter to espn and hope they air it so tat the Heisman committee could see it

Teo is not the best player in the country. He's not even even the best defensive player in the country.
I read a Yahoo! Sports artice about Teo And Manziel. The writer said the Heisman goes to 'the most famous football player in the country.' That's about right. It seems to be based more on buzz an how a team is doing that season. However they got it right last year with RGIII.
Johnny deserves it this year. Hell the entire Bama game was his 'Heisman Moment.'
