Cotton and Chic are both better than Cap One anyway. I know Cap One takes higher team but that bowl is garbage. I much rather the other 2. A&M fans should be happy to get chic over cap as it's a much better experience for the fan base.

I 2nd that point. Hyman needs to come out and say that this whole not wanting to be in the cotton bowl shite is coming ONLY from BigWTF schools and they can eat a dick

Not in the bowl pecking order, but in the overall experience it is. The stadium is a dump, it's played the same time as 2 other bowls on TV. The field was trash until they updated it.

The cotton now has a primetime slot all to itself and is playing in Jerryworld.

no contest.

In any given year the SEC #2(loser of SECCG) at least deserves no worse than Cotton barring a bad record. UGA and aTm both deserve the CapOne but I would give it to UGA based on their appearence in the SECCG even though aTm deserves it because this is the second year UGA has not had to play Bama nor LSU in the regualar season. It's definitely not a clear answer and even more reason that bowl game committees stess things like selling out your stadium in regular season and travelling well in prior bowls. They are taking a huge gamble right now. The easiest bet to make for any second tier bowl would be OM becuae they are excited and haven't been bowling in a few years. That one is a no brainer for any committee. After OM is where the water muddies. For State, Gator would be a major plus, since we kind of feel we don't deserve it. We would sell out and bring plenty of money and blow Jxnville out just like '11. NOW! Give us the MCB and we may just not feel that excited to go somewhere we just went against the Fighting Cuttcliffs of Duke. That is the MCB curse, it pulls the smaller ACC private schools a lot. AND finally the Compass? I have no doubt State would not even travel to this because we would feel it was beneath us. Many of us went when we played UAB in the regular season last year and that place is a shithole.
SO if I am a bowl committee chairperson this is what i need to know. State fans would make a very nice profit for Gata, would be ok for MCB but would make Compass eat their own arse. Would be the least attended bowl game this season.

I can't wait til a damn bowl is chosen. I dgaf if its Michigan, Nebraska, Texas, OU, or Clemson. Most of these would be entertaining in some way.

You are correct. There is nothing worse than the Cap One Bowl and Orlando. Orlando is, by far, the worst place in FL and the stadium in Orlando sucks.

Atlanta and the Georgia Dome is a much, much better destination.

Yes. Having experience with Cotton Cap one and peach
Cotton>>Peach>>>>>Cap 1. TAMU should be glad they wont have to experience.

A lot of aggies really wanted the Cap One, and for the life me I couldn't figure out why. I wanted the cotton bowl pretty badly, but this could be good too.

Of course not when your standing with your head up your arse.

Aggy scared, they are Texas, they are everyone's big game of the year, nothing to be scared about from aggy.

From Cedric Golden, sportwriter for Austin American Statesman. From the Bohls Golden Chat last week:

A&M wants Texas like a pig wants slop. Texas doesn't want any part of A&M this year.

You must be hearing something different.

this is what I thought. Texas doesn't want to spoil their win over A&M last year by getting blown out this year
