You act as if ND in the NCG is crushing my soul or something.
Seems like its crushing many on this board. Teams in the SEC that feel they're more deserving. Alls i can say is join the BIG East and go undefeated. Stop crying.....

I think ND would spank LSU right now.

In my opinion, the ONLY non-SEC team that can hang in the SEC is Florida St. And, we all say what happened to them against Florida today. Notre Dame's defense looks good against whom? Some scrub teams? Florida St's defense was the #1 defense in the country before today and I don't think anyone would say their defense is of the same caliber as LSU's, Bama's, UGA's or even A&M's. Notre Dame is a middle of the road SEC team. The gulf between the top half of the SEC (and I'm including Ole Miss in the top half of the SEC now. Their stock is rising) and the rest of the country is very, very, very wide.

I would subtract ten from every team below Florida except Auburn and Zkentucky. Other than that it's a great list.

Any reason to think this? ND's resume isn't that spectacular. They've played down to opponents worse than LSU this year.

I heard this on this board about aTm and by God they beat Bama....... In one game on one day with their style of play I think ND can beat any SEC team.
Wut?

He was saying he heard that TAMU had absolutely no chance to beat Bama, but yall did so ND has a shot.
The only problem with his reasoning is that TAMU is head and shoulders better than ND.

Before Friday I would have said maybe not, now I have no doubt ND would beat LSU.
We beat JFF who is a way better QB than Golson. LSU would win.

The answer is ND will more than likely get a chance to beat the SEC champ in the NC game. What more do you want?
I love SEC football, but some of you guys need to get a grip. ND played the teams on their schedule and beat 'em all. Now they get to prove it with the lights on bright in January.
Just because a team makes their kids go to class and doesn't play in the NFL AAA league doesn't mean they aren't deserving or can't compete on the big stage.

What people want is the chance to prove that ND would lose to a lot of SEC teams regardless of who they luck their way into playing for the championship game.
I watched a fullback be given a 5 yard cushion by an SC DB last night. I think that speaks volumes about the level of play from SC and most of the teams ND has played.

After watching this game and a few more this year - they are a very good team and are capable of beating all SEC teams. Period.

Then I guess Florida needs to go independent then huh?

If they play a full SEC schedule - they are no better than 9-3.
ND got to 12-0 by playing a crap schedule. Big 10 teams are always overrated on SOS. Michigan is not that good, neither is Michigan State, or USC. Who else did they beat? Army, Navy, Purdue - big deal.

This.
Schedule ND next year instead of Bowling Green, Towson, Texas State, etc. I'd love to see ND play Bama, LSU, or Florida early in the year in a non conf game. Or invite ND to the SEC. I don't know.
ND plays a style of football that lends itself to closer games. Kind of like LSU. You can't say ND doesn't belong because they don't blow out everyone on their schedule when LSU struggles with a bad Arkansas team.
I can't believe I'm defending ND, because I can't stand them, but one thing's for sure, we're gonna find out if they're for real.
