Not his seniors, wasn't there long enough, didn't have enough time.

All Tenn fans said 10 wins this season.

I'd rather Dooley didn't coach the last game.
I don't want anymore of his "loser" rubbing off on the team.

At least he went out in style by throwing a game against Vandy.
Dooley flipped a big ol' bird to the Vol nation. he even benched Bray to troll the fanbase
This is why when you fire someone you don't let them stay around at work

I always liked DD and thought he would turn it around but after watching last nights game that team just isn't well coached. That's not a bad football team they have play makers on offense and defense.

Congrats to UT. Good job on getting it done.

I think he deserved 1 or 2 more years

As bad as Mike Shula was, his teams never quit competing. Comparing Dooley to him was an insult to Shula.

This will go down as one of many huge mistakes UT has muffed. The man was/is a class act and was turning things around.
I fully expect UT heads to frick up the next hire and sink further into the abyss.

Dooley was offered the option of coaching Tennessee's regular-season finale but declined.
Probably didn't want a loss to UK on his resume. Getting curb stomped by Vandy is bad enough.

If rumors are true UT's had Gruden for several weeks now as a confirmed replacement.

Don't matter. We'll win regardless. 2-0!
