For a large part of the LSU game he was pretty bad, the drive saved him, but let's move on.

The play before the Yeldon fumble today should have been a touchdown, but Cooper had to wait for ages on the ball.

The Kenny Bell long catch was along those same lines, although less of an overthrow. Still, hit him in stride and it's a touchdown.

Numerous bad passes today. Missing Cooper on the first drive. The long out to Kenny Bell which was drastically overthrown.

The worst of the INT throws today was the one that ended up not being an INT. The guy didn't get his foot down but it was still a horrible throw.

He wasn't terrible, but in the last two weeks he's been missing throws he was making earlier. And on a lot of those throws he wasn't under any kind of serious duress.

Silver lining is that he'll probably be back next year.

Definitely taken steps backwards.

I can only imagine what the 1/9 game would have looked like if we had actually had a QB and he had felt some pressure.

fricking Jordan Jefferson

He's hurt and has been for two or three games.

Is there anyone on this site that didn't know we were going to pass on most first downs and then run on second down?

Maybe because he finally played a real defense?

It was pretty bad. Nussmeier was not impressive today.

As far as being hurt, I've wondered about that. Granted, you mention something like that on here and it becomes a diaster of a thread.

I'm sure people will say it was the defenses, and part of that is true, but that doesnt explain underthrowing/overthrowing wide open people and with good protection usually

guess all the heisman hype and talk about the no int streak started to get to him, still a good qb though and for the most part makes good decisions and limits mistakes

i hope he can get back in gear before the georgia game

I don't know why you try to keep passing on 2nd down when you're running for at least 5 on 1st. It was mind boggling. Especially at the end when they should have been running the ball and clock. It just didn't make sense.

The upside is that the next two are gimmes, and they have enough time to try and iron out whatever the hell is going on. I think AJ is mentally tired, so maybe this will actually take some of the pressure off, since there won't be as much to lose going into the SEC CG.

But they need to recruit some CBs and a pass rusher, ASAP.

He's not built to carry a team like some quarterbacks. He's great at managing and doing what it takes to win when the defense keeps it close or takes control.

The throws out of bounds were signs that he was definitely off

I think AJ is a solid QB but not anywhere close to great.

Type of guy when Bama's D let's them down he folds. Last 2 games have shown that.

Is he gonna pull a Barrett Jones, and return? His NFL stock is rising fast!

That's not even really the point. He's been missing easy throws that he was making earlier in the year, when he was still a "game manager."

His effort at the end against LSU was damn near heroic. But he's not some great, unique talent, he's just a solid, heady qb. He is who he is, but lets not pretend he's Tom Brady or Drew Brees or Zach Mettenburger now...

Might've just hit a slump here lately.
