If JFF doesn't get hurt and play calling, turnovers don't bury us watch out Bama! It should be a battle . If we have to rely on our kicker we will lose. We seem to improve a little each week. I will need a large bottle of crown to make it through the game!
Much respect to Bama and all the SEC teams. I have never been this excited about football.

Gonna be a dogfight. A&M will not be intimidated by either the opponent or the environment, that's for sure.

my thoughts are we have nothing to lose, I thought this would be a bloodbath before the year started, so really anything other than that is gravy.

Well....I just don't know how it will end up......with that said, I do know what this conversation looked like before the season...it was like this: no way, automatic win for Bama, will be favored by 20+, etc.

The fact that we are in the neighborhood of talking about a possible victory is remarkable...all be it a small possibility. I do have much more confidence after watching last nights game...Bama is without a doubt beatable....it should be a good game.......and don't think Sumlin forgot about Saban bitching about the offensive pace....Sumlin will have them going at hyper speed....bank on that

No doubt TAMU is several degrees better than most people thought they'd be going into this year.

As much as I loved about Mike Sherman, he would have brought an intimidated team in, even if they shouldn't have been. And don't get me wrong; A&M has no reason to be intimidated by Alabama. None. We still lose by however many points Vegas says.

Just saying... If Mett can do that to a Bama defense, A&M has a SHOT at making it interesting.
When La Tech can put up 57,AU 21 then I highly doubt they stop Bama's offense. That being said I am sure JFF will score his points but he will also throw a few picks and Bama scores off of turn overs most of the time.

TAMU gets stomped. LSU showed how to contain JF; BAMA will do that much better than LSU did. Saban/Smart are better schemers than Chavis.

There isn't a transitive property in football, my Aggie friends. You do not have the power smash-mouth running backs that LSU has and will therefore not duplicate the success that LSU had yesterday. You also have very little defense. And make no mistake, Bama will be able to exploit your many weaknesses on the D. HAve you seen the bama Oline??? They are going to plow through you like road-graders

LSU had a tremendous homefield advantage last night that you guys won't have; And Mett played the best game of his life; and AJ had the worst 2nd half of his life...

...and Bama STILL beat LSU.

You've had a great season and the future is bright for you. But Bama beats you by about 17

Suspended players on our defense as well as injuries. As far as Auburn goes... We scored 28 points before they got a first down. All their points were garbage time.

This doesn't make sense. LSU had success because they could pass the ball, not because they were playing smash mouth football.

Everyone in this thread is talking about the A&M Offense vs. the Bama Defense......

Why is no one talking about the Bama Offense vs. the A&M Defense?

I think the key for A&M is to get ahead to force Bama out of their ball control clock chewing style. They need to make McCarron beat them with his arm.

We have no prayer against Bama. I am sure that our players and traveling fans will enjoy the chance to witness the outstanding facilities and game day experience, but we won't be able to do anything on the field. We're starting a fricking freshman against mighty Nick Saban's defense!

If I were Bama, I would really be prepping for Western Carolina. It would be awful to waste all of that time getting ready for an A&M team that is, frankly, unworthy of the SEC, only to have Western Carolina ruin your perfect season and MNC hopes.

Timely passing supported by a smash-mouth running game. TAMU's and LSU's offenses are not at all similar in scheme. And take it from a Hog fan: the Bama DBs will absolutely maul your WRs at the line of scrimmage; it is difficult to prepare for that.

And little Nicky is probably just flat out better than Sumlin. He was damned-sure better than Petrino, who doesn't take a back-seat to anyone as an offensive mind.

Please elaborate. Because all I did was have a SLIGHTLY different opinion than you ags do about your upcoming game against Bama.

And I might add, just like it was in the mid 80s when you tasted some success under Sherrill, many of you Ags are quickly becoming insufferable asses(I didn't pay attn to you once we switched to the SEC.) My GOD, how dare I question your team??? You can't handle success. Just like us Arkansas fans.

There is one thing that TAMU and Arkansas share: a history of moderate success without really being able to ascend to the top and stay there. This gives us both a bit of a chip on our shoulders that comes from a deep-seeded sense of mild inferiority to the TRUE college fb powers.

And that fact is why you are turning into 2011 Arkansas fans v.2

Tongue-in-cheek is one thing, but some of you need to slow your roll.

Best of luck Saturday

We are not terribly optimistic but our feelings about the match up are a lot better than they were a few weeks ago.

mentally i have conceded this game as a loss since the beginning of the year and so I will be happy as long as we are competitive, and then finish out the year strong against Mizzou.

i think it will be interesting to see how our offense works against your D. Bama hasnt seen a team that will be able to spread them out and get those big physical defenders out in space, and they also havent seen the kinda pace that A&M will present.

I think as long as we stay committed to the run game it will be a competitive game into the second half when the depth and overall physicality of bama ultimately wears us down and they will pull away late.

We have two wide receivers more talented than anything that has ever lined up for the piggies. They will be fine.
