Bama was favored by 7 in 2010.

True Story.

About 210 Ponderosa acres.

Knob Creek and an evening view. Only thing better is being in Tiger Stadium on a pleasant Saturday night.

The line started at 8. It moved to 10 to attract some LSU money, then dropped back to 8.

Do you know how it works?

Money moves the line, heavy money early was on Alabama pushing the line to 10...when the wagers swung disproportionately towards LSU, the line moved down.

Wonder if Vegas took that into consideration.

Not always! Last week, almost 70% of the money was bet on MSU. The line stayed 24 the whole week.

Public money doesn't move a line. Big money gamblers set and move the line. The guy betting a hundred on the game has nothing to do with how the line moves...neither do a 1,000 of his closest friends.

The bookie I bet with told me that most of all the money bet on games gets back to Vegas, even in the smaller places. He said when around 500,000 dollars goes one way the line will move by a 1/2 point the other, so in this scenario over 2 million more was bet on alabama in the earlier stages, and when the line moved up, around 2 million more came in on LSU. I do not claim to know about that situation, I just hope to break even
