We had grass before Petrino but he had field turf installed when he came in because it fit his offense better he said.
It will be interesting to see if the next coach keeps it or is even given the option.

Doubt it will be an option to get rid of it. It saves a ton of money in maintenance and it looks better IMO.

I agree. Our field always looked bad in late October/November when it started getting cold. I definitely like the look a lot better now.

Field turf in the southeast is an embarrassment. I guess that means Mizzou gets a pass.

Our field always looked bad when it was grass because we had to hire State grads to maintain it and they would always sabotage it.

I don't like field turf, but it's really our best option. Our climate isn't conducive to either warm or cold weather grass so it's tough to keep the field looking good for an entire season.
