to 2 things:
1. How does State's DL fare against Bammer's OL.
State is very good at LB and Secondary- but the DL has been a little underwhelming. State is going to have to mix some fronts and guess correctly alot on run blitzes to force Bammer into longer situations. State has done a real good of this the last 2 seasons- but their offense hasnt been able to do anything to keep them off the field- and the 4th quarter has been ugly because of it.
2. Will State win the offensive match-ups in the middle of the field vs the Alabama LB's and Safeties?
We dont have WR's that are going to win the match-ups vs the Bammer CB's. But we do have Malcolm Johnson and Marcus Green that do a very good job catching balls in the middle of the field. Johnson was hurt the 1st half of the season, and Bammer will be his 3rd game back.
If State's DL plays well coupled with Johnson and Green winning some battles down the middle of the field- this will be a ballgame in the 4th Q.

3. Who scores more points.

AJ McCarron has yet to throw an interception. For us to have a chance to be in the ballgame, our defense is going to have to force a few.

More like 31-14 Alabama. 24-0 at the half.

You are going to get that from pretty much every fanbase on here. Not just Ole Miss. The way Alabama is playing, it isn't that crazy of a prediction, with the game being in Tuscaloosa at night.

A little simplistic. Bama can be beaten, but this is the most balanced Bama offense ever. To stop Alabama from scoring, you have to be able to stop the run without stacking the box. Alabama' passing offense is not unstoppable, but you absolutely can't stop Bama when you sell out to the run. Nobody can do that.
On the other side of the ball, even though the secondary was hardest hit in the offseason, Nick Saban will never have a weak secondary. You don't start by throwing all over Bama, you start by making some successful runs and forcing Bama to cheat up and help the front 7. Once you get an overcommitment to the line of scrimmage, then you burn the secondary long (probably on the Deion Belue side).

I see moo st getting way too much credit.
no more than 13-14 points for them. If that many.
38-10

They put up 44ish on Tennessee, that won't happen on us. Our TOP is extremely high therefore it will be a low scoring game

We can! We have the secondary to do it.

Sell out to the run, and we'll light up that secondary like Christmas tree in a gay bar.

I see 42-3 Bama win. State has many losses coming. Many. Losses.

State has by far the best secondary ya'll have faced, so it is hard to make that assumption. We held Tenn. to 148 pass yards so I'm convinced we can stop ya'lls pass game. I am not convinced, however that we can consistently stop ya'lls run game. IMO that is the key to us having a shot at winning at all.

darkhorse, with his plethora of threads showing the MSU dominance, has me convinced.
MSU 37
Bama 9

Yep that should do it. No one has tried that much recently. Are you a coach cause you should be.
