saban does have ties to the browns.
saban has proved he is once again the best college coach and i think he would want to make up for his failure in the nfl by returning.
If he did return then look out he will be good this time around

Bad move for Alabama and Cleveland. I really hope it happens.

Agreed. That it would be a bad move. From my limited perspective, there is a much bigger downside in taking the HC position at Cleveland than staying at UA, DUHHHH. Saban is on a gravy train at UA, why give that up?

I can't see Saban leaving college ball unless he is ready to really retire from coaching. He has started to look old lately. If he wants to get out of coaching, a pro gig for a couple of years makes for a good retirement package.
But I don't see it, unless Alabama loses to LSU this season.

it would be interesting to see how the bama fanbase splits on the reaction.
I really think saban would do better this time in the nfl. The man knows how to coach and unlike most coaches he adepts and improves. He was the best coach in the ncaa when he was at LSU but he still had some flaws, he leaves to the dolphins and then returns even better with extremely small flaws. I think the same thing would happen in the nfl

come on Saban, do it. it'd be hilarious if he doesn't win at Cleveland.

If Saban wins another national championship for us this year and decides to take the Cleveland job, I will carry his bags to the airport for him.

Why does everyone assume Saban would be a bad move for Cleveland?
Belichick wasn't exactly stellar during his first HC tenure.

Saban needs to stay out of player personnel or not be as heavily involved as he was with Dolphins
I don't see Weeden and Saban as a good offensive fit

He can offer, but Saban is not going anywhere... why should he...

if Saban wins another nc this year i can see him thinking about it doing it...

none of us are in the man's head so anyone saying he's guaranteed to stay or go is just being dumb
but here is how it could play:
Browns will lavish Nick with the "everyone knows what you can and have done in college- Now it's time to show that is can apply to pros" on the NFL side
on the NCAA side, a certain large state could have a opening. They could use the "you've won at two different schools. Blow the bar sky high and do it at three"
You have to understand who you are going after here. Blow him and blow him good, almost swallow and he'll come along for the ride

Anyone that thinks this is even remotely possible is fricking retarded. No way in hell saban leaves a NC machine like bama for the fricking Browns. He makes over $5mil a year at BAMA and is guaranteed royalty in the State of Alabama for the rest of his life why the frick would he need to make a couple mil more a year. This is fricking stupid.
Holy shite its football season and yall have nothing better to talk about. Pathetic.
Sabans next stop is Lake Burton, Georgia. Period.

Like before just from my POV the only thing the Browns can offer him is the chance to win a SB. Tell him he has full control of the team and discipline, minus maybe the financial part of it. that is the one thing that Pro can offer that college can't and it is much harder to achieve.
