I'd be very curious to see how well Petrino could recruit at Louisville. With the motorcycle incident, my guess it would be only marginally better
He would have Auburn winning 10 or 11 a year but Saban would frick him because he'd always have to face a fairly experienced Saban D because its the last game of the year.

I get info from abt 3 assistant coaches (in the game and no longer coaching), a guy in football ops at Bama, and two agents I use to have as clients. I said early Saturday that the top three wld be Fisher, Petrino, and Strong. What names are you hearing now?

Exactly. That would be fricking lethal IMO. AU's #1 issue right now is player development on offense IMO. Guess what, with Petrino, you get instant improvement in that area. Without question.

Winston, Yelton, Jennings, are three that come to mind right off the top of my head. Look at the rankings last year. You honestly think that was representative of AU winning recruiting wars against Alabama and Fla State? REALLY? Take off the Orange and Blue glasses and wake up. Why do you think AU has to go to Memphis, South Florida, and outside the SEC for recruits? There are plenty of kids with significant playing time in the SEC that came out of AU's back yard, yet they are not on Auburn's roster. Are you saying that AU passed on them? REALLY?
Listen to others within the WarEagle nation that post here. Listen to Dye for Christ's sake, Lack of talent is one of, if not THE biggest issue right now. Other than Lemonier, who is starting right now that will be playing on Sundays? $50 to a Donut they are out of State recruits. Oh, and BTW, what part of Alabama is Corey Lemonier From?

Was he linked in 08'? I honestly don't remember. I've always liked Fisher and would be as happy as a diabetic in a candy store if we hired him.
