Short term answer: yes

Long term: time will tell, but it is looking good

So far I give him a 8/10 only because he hasn't won a game he hasn't supposed to yet. Could be less than an 8 but he has a less than average team competing on a rebuilding year.

No...he has been better than I expected but no way you can say great right now. You got blown out by texas, had 218 total yards against bama and forced 6tos at home and still lost. He has your guys playing hard which is good. I don't think his offensive system will work against the heavy weights but could make you competitive with the rest. Nutt mailed it in the last two years so whoever you hired was going to do better. I will say that he has potential and could turn out to be a great hire but not enough of a sample size yet. Like a recruiting class when signed, you don't know until 3years later if was great or not.

great hire, just has that ability to get a team focused and ready...

his 4 and inches call the other nite was stupid on a special scale but he will be great coach for you guys as evident by your tenacious play for being undersized/out talented/no depth in 3 games that I have watched. Your kids play with heart like no other team I have seen this year...wish our Hogs had half what Freeze is getting out of them

I have been impressed with both Freeze and Sumlin. Ole miss has to play over their heads to be competitive right now and Freeze has them doing that. He will get the attention of some recruits. If he can sign the kid from south panola and talk one certain recruit to come play with his brother then he would have a much better chance of becoming great.

He seems like a pretty solid coach.. Now if he starts stating the only way he is leaving Ole Miss is in a pine box, then watch out.

Freeze is the best thing that has happened to Ole Miss in several years. I never thought I would say this but I actually find myself pulling Ole
Miss now.

Freeze is going to be the SEC's Mike Leach. The guy has giant brass balls and is a very good X's and O's coach. He will give every team hell and will start winning in a few years. Unlike Leach, it appears he also cares about defense as well. You guys have a good coach.

Very good hire. He didn't have much talent when he arrived, but he did a very good job of moving people around to give them the best opportunity to succeed. Signing Wallace was big. I like Brunetti, but without Wallace, the offense wouldn't be nearly as successful. Wallace is still making some very bad decisions, but that should improve as he gets more experience against SEC defenses.

Freeze is an upgrade but he made a VERY bad decision on that 4th down call against aTm. He should have gone under center with that play and I read somewhere that same play was used earlier in the game and was stuffed also so the defense probably knew exactly what they were going to do. At least mix it up like run the same formation but a misdirection to the opposite side would have been a better call.

I don't truly think you will know until year 2. However, the potential is there.
