Tell me about Kentucky's team.

No sarcastic answers please. I know next to nothing about this team except their coach is about to be fired and they have a midget RB that looked pretty decent. I don't think we've played them since Randall Cobb was a frosh.

I think they are 2 or 3 QBs down.

We're two QB's down and two RB's down. We have six healthy bodies in the secondary. Freshmen all over the field.
We have decent talent but no coaches to coach said talent.

One of the freshman quarterbacks showed promise this past Saturday. He put together a good drive right out of the gate.

Whitlow and Towles are both very talented, as is Max Smith, but Smith and Towles are now both injured. Smith is out for the season.

I think I am referring to Towles. He did not start.

How do you think we survive the season?

In all seriousness our defense isn't very good and it's going to get significantly worse now that we have a ton of injuries in the already thin secondary. Wilson should have a field day throwing for the edges against us. It's pretty much all freshman/true freshman at CB/DB/S now. We have some talent closer to the line in Dupree, Cobble, Rumph, and Ukwu. That's about it.
QB is a clusterfrick. We started the season with Maxwell Smith who won the job over Morgan Newton. He's been hurt off and on and finally went down with torn ligaments in his ankle. We then had Jalen Whitlow (true freshman) and he gives you opportunities with his legs but has a lot of work to do in the air. The most success we've had from anyone was for one drive with true freshman Patrick Towles who threw for a TD saturday against State (initially going to redshirt but due to injuries that got pulled) but then on his 2nd drive his ankle got rolled on and he's now out as well.
It's basically all Whitlow. And he's pretty raw and young.
Our strongest position on offense is at RB, even two down due to Josh Clemons and CoShik Williams going out with injuries. Sanders, who's been dinged up some, has been running well. Same with George (both him and Sanders are small so not sure which one you're referring to). Unfortunately without a passing game that gets limited pretty quick.
WR corp is young but better then in the past. Smith, Collins, Legree, and King have all looked decent in stretched. Unfortunately they've also been limited by the rotating door at QB.

Yeah, Towles is possibly the most talented QB out of Kentucky since Couch... even including Woodson. He's young though. Much better prospect than Zeke Pike.

Sounds very familiar. I'm not getting the big head just because we beat AU. We have been dreadful.

He was Mr. Football in Kentucky, no? Three state championships in a row?

They have this awesome QB named Morgan Newton. Very underrated.

Yep. And coached by the Hefty Lefty at Highlands too.

Even with those freshman QBs, you will still find a way to score 24 on our defense.

Affirmative.

Is there any way that Morgan Newton can start against us?

Damn by the time ya'll play Tennessee you'll be using a WR as a QB.

No shite, big Jarred? I spent a day with a lineman from UK the other day bidding on some work. I wish I could remember his name. Jarred and Abney were freshmen or sophomores when he was a senior. I think he graduated in 99'

The team hasn't quit. They will scuffle and compete, but they are so young. They make a really good play and follow it up with the dumbest play ever. We are down to 3rd string true freshman QB. Our starting RB is lost for season with a hip injury. Secondary is a train wreck with true freshman playing everywhere. OL and DL are the only units that haven't been decimated with injuries to this point. This will be the 2nd, 3rd and 4th games for some of these freshman that got forced into action early so, they will get better. Doubt it will be good enough to beat the Hogs on the road though.
