Bundy, if you're counting that white LB that all the State fans love(I think because he's white)
reduce your number to 6.
We will have 5 on the starting defense drafted this year...and that is assuming Autry and Nickoe don't choose to come out early. There are more than 6-7 NFL players on our defense, Bundy was just being conservative(for once). We will rotate through 5-6 likely NFL guys on the DL alone.
NFLdraftscout
Banks - 1st
Boyd - 3rd-4th
Lawrence - 6th
Broomfield - 7th
Slay not yet projected but will go somewhere near when Boyd does. There is no discernible drop off from Banks to him, but given that he was a late enrollee out of JUCO and didn't start till very late last season, he is still flying under the radar.

Broomfield isn't getting drafted. Smart heady player, but he isn't worth a frick in a NFL setting.
Banks is a stud.

AJ Johnson, Maggit, Waggner, Mo Couch, McCullers, and Randoph (get well soon) will all play in the NFL IMO. So there are 6 future NFLers on UT's defense too... just a matter of getting comfortable with the schemes.

State has the more balanced team, which is why we will win.
Tenn has a Good QB and a couple good WRs. Not much else. And a little bit of pressure dismantles that QB

you just gave me a link saying he's the 7th best draft eligble OLB in the SEC and the 21st in the country.
calling him a quote "NFL player" is a bit of a stretch.
nice player, overrated by state fans.

TN has a vastly better offense, and a vastly inferior defense. we'll see which wins out on Saturday.
State would likely be 3-2 with Tenn's schedule, and TN would be 5-0 with States.
too close to call right now. It's not going to be a blow out either way.

Darius Slay will be a 3-5 round pick as well.

he's probably the most valuable person on our defense. Doesn't mean he will be in the NFL, but to say you don't like him that much is just wrong, man.

I also belive our our RS FR LB Benardrick McKinney will be a future NFL player. He is 6'4" 240 and was recently named SEC Freshman defensive player of the week.
Kid played QB in HS and is just now learning to play his position.

Why?
He kind of reminds me of Reamer when he was at Bama

And it also projects him as a 6th round draft pick. Consequently, the same round that Chris White got drafted in. Yes, I agree that Chris White was a better and more projectable lb in the NFL in measurables. Cam's contribution to our defense is MUCH more intangible than numbers and skill.
He figured out UK's play calling before the half and was calling out plays from the line of scrimmage, EXACTLY how he did Auburn previously. Better change your playcalling our he will be on UT's by halftime as well.

The Byron Moore that has 4 ints in his first season as a starter and all the coaching staff cant stop talking about?

Yes he understands the game very well, he makes adjustments, but execution is a different subject. I believe he is over hyped, just how I have always felt. I said personally, doesnt involve yours or any others' opinion.

Why are you naming all these underclassmen? I confined my discussion to the upcoming draft alone. If you are talking total defensive guys that will be in the NFL eventually, I will need to make a much longer list...

Just for reference, I took the CBS link and filtered on Tenn and MSU players. Both schools are projected with 5 draftable players. I didn't count prospects who appear in the 7-FA rd.
In order of draft rank.
* denotes Junior
*Justin Hunter
Johnthan Banks
*Tyler Bray
Dallas Thomas
*Cordarrelle Patterson
*Gabe Jackson
Josh Boyd
Cameron Lawrence
Prentiss Waggner
Corey Broomfield
