Berks. Franklin does not have it. He hesitates on throws, that oozes lack of confidence.

I agree. Franklin's shown me nothing. What makes me think he's going to be "confident" next week against Vandy?

He won't.

Dont know man. I think some are undervaluing the effect of the shitty line pay has on an offense.

I look at the ASU game and I saw many of the same issues the offense has had all year, with Berkstresser at the helm. Not sure a different QB1 makes that much of a difference in the big scheme of things.

I think Franklin is going to start as long as they keep winning the games they are supposed to win or he is injured to the point he cant play.

Just an opinion.

Very valid point. I'd like to see a whole series where JF gets a snap in his chest every time, and the o-line protects.

However, I still question JF's confidence and his shoulder. I think they are directly proportional.

I see some upside in a QB controversy given the offense's production. Give Berk another shot to earn it.

I think you stay with Franklin for now. While Franklin made mistakes the Line is the major problem. Really the O-Line is really what we need to be discussing. I dont get what Berk would do differently behind that line.

Franklin for now.

Forget the line, he's not getting much help from Yost.

It's a no brainer, Frank the Tank's stats vs. Burks stats, UCF vs ASU. There is no doubt UCF is better than ASU.

completion percentage 65% vs. 50%.
1 TD to 0 TD
257 yds to 198
8.2 YPA to 4.5

Frank on a leash...yank it after a quarter of bad play. For now we got another win...maybe he is feeling the pressure to perform when Berk started warming up during first quarter today...

Me either. Think ASU got some votes in the AP poll this week as well.

Franklin gives us our best chance to win. The offense is designed for his mobility. Berk is more of a pocket passer, and as porous as our OL is, I think his lack of mobility would get him killed by the pass rush most SEC teams bring.

I'd like to see them give Berk 1-2 series each half, to get him some in-game experience. But for now, I think Franklin should remain the starter.

Line's not really going to get much better. Give it to the guy with confidence and quick release.

Berks is a better QB imo. He is accurate, strong and absolutely rifles the ball to the receivers. He also seems pretty tough (not saying JF isn't).

The problem for Pinkel is that he can't really pull Franklin right now. That would ruin any confidence he has and who knows if he would even stay if he gets demoted.

I say they need to set Franklin till he's close to 100%. He is still playing injured. Just judging the two throws to DGB today tells me his arm strength is'nt there and his timing is off and the timing may be part of the injury showing. That last throw to DGB would have been completed last year. He's hurting and trying to play through it and it's actualy hurting the offense in the passing game. But the high snaps have to be fixed.

He didn't run to many times today, and when he did you could tell he was avoiding contact as much as possible.

Just my view. Berkstresser may or maynot do any better because of the o-line play.

How can you say Berkstresser is more accurate when he completed 50% of his passes in his only start?

We will not be better than a so-so team as long as Franklin is quarterback. I don't know if we have anyone better but I'm willing to find out at this point.

Franklin was much improved today. If you say otherwise you either didnt watch the game or you're just a hater
