when you have a retard coach with no nuts, he will run right up the middle on every 3rd and 3 or 3rd and 4 then punt.

Les Miles is a Gene Stallings clone for sure.

So you two don't realize emotions involved in a game. Wow, ok.

LSU coaches knew that AU couldn't sustain drives on their LSU defense so they played conservative with a ground game. Mett didn't show he could make the plays and an interception might give the ball close to a winning field goal. Looked like the LSU had no concern for the AU offense winning the game so they just sat on a lead.

Still below the LSU average
and what teams were LSU playing while accumlating that average?

Mett played fine minus the fumbles. It was the OL not being able to pass protect that resulted in the staffs unwillingness to let Mett throw the ball.

My Mississippi State bulldogs had no problems running or passing the ball against Auburn's D

LSU has pass protection issues, been saying that since game 1.

So does Alabama from time to time. You'll be okay.

Then you will be able to show us that awesome offense against that terrible LSU defense heads up.

Was it really just improved, inspired defensive football on their part.
They were getting penetration and making tackles at the point of contact.

Or was it a subpar game from the OL?
Not in run blocking - our guys run block as well as anybody, including your guys.

Any worries or are you like me and think this was just your version of 09 UT?
We had the same thing last year with Mississippi State - the SEC is full of great players. Saturday, Auburn's showed up to play, as did the crowd. While it's tough to say we dominated them - we controlled the pace, for the most part, and the 2 fumbles resulted in a 12 point shift (we got 2 instead of 7, then they got their only 7 off of a turnover). That game looks much better for us if it was 20-3, which is what the play, minus our fumbles, equates to.
The fact the game was so close down to the last play forced us to go very, very conservative at the end. I give Auburn's defense and fans most of the credit for our struggles.

Well, we'll see beginning 10/6. What's really true about LSU is going to be find out ... UF/SCar/A&M/UA/MSU...boom, boom, boom.

obviously that means MSU is better than LSU.

Oh well, just have to bear and grin it another 7 - 10 years, then we'll get someone really good.

Let's not go overboard here...MSU had 388 total yards vs Auburn and was 1-of-10 on 3rd down.

I thought LSU ran the ball very well early but as it became apparent they weren't going to throw much we stacked the box and did a good job taking away the run as the game went on. I personally believe Miles showed why he is a championship level coach with his willingness to win an ugly game. A lesser coach(thinking Richt here) would have tried to score more and could have potentially lost the game by putting his defense in bad spots against an offense that wasn't going to move the ball against the defense.

Some combination of the following
- Running against stacked box
- How good is LSU OL run blocking? Hard to say
when they have played crap teams so far. Finally played an SEC team and had only an avg night(4ypc)
- LSU had six games last yr in which they rushed for under 4ypc so this isn't exactly something new for that offense.
- It's still a Les Miles offense, outside of the occasional off the wall play, it is very predictable.
Getting four ypc under the circumstances probably isn't really that bad and either way, it's only one game. Mett and the OL pass blocking would concern me much more if I were an LSU fan.
